Scouting reports seem to be that he's a capable defender and OK distributor, but a terrible shooter.

Between Carter, Grey, and the attempted acquistion of Pietrus, it seems pretty clear that the Raps' MO this off-season is to get some cheap defensive help. Butler is the only one who doesn't fit that mould, but he fills the niche of the team needing a 3-point threat aside from Bargnani.

Looks like the Clippers are close to landing Chris Paul. They've apparently submitted the trade to the league for approval. Apparently the core of the deal is Chris Kaman, Eric Gordon, Al Fariq Aminou, and a 2012 1st rounder that used to be Minnesota's for Paul. There's talk that the league insists the Clippers add Eric Bledsoe as well though.

this almost seems like it'll gut the Clippers worse than the Lakers would've in their trade. If they end up losing DeAndre Jordan to that offer sheet from the Warriors, they're going to have basically Paul, Griffin, and a whole lot of nothing.

wow, LAC is giving up a LOT for CP3. considering how little leverage NOH should have with him only want a very few number of cities, they're getting a lot. If this goes down, they should at least buy the Clippers dinner.

Didn't Kaman play for the Hornets once too? They'd need him after West bolted.

Wonder if he'll re-up on a team with Griff.

That's absolutely horrendous for the Clippers

According to Chris Broussard CP3 has said he is willing to "append" a year to his contract so that the Clippers are guaranteed 2 years.

Even without Bledsoe that's awful.

Kaman's been a Clipper all of his life.

Clippers are refusing New Orleans-NBA steep asking price for Chris Paul, league sources tell Y! Sports. "Deal could be dying," source says.

If the trade does go down, I don't see how CP3 can say its because he needs to be surrounded by talent, because as The Nemesis said, it'd just be him, a sophomore Blake, and scrubs....

Lol, gotta love TSN.ca's story on the Raptors signing this morning.

"Raptors sign free-agent guard Carter"

You know exactly what they're trying to do with a headline that vague.

Apparently Hasheem Thabeet may be amnestied.

I'd take a chance on him for the minimum. He's looked terrible but he's still very raw and can have some untapped potential. He was the 2nd overall pick just 2 years ago.

I'd certainly take him over Solomon Alabi at this point in time..

He was a mistake pick at #2. Too bad Detroit didn't get that with that big Euro dude whose name escapes me.

The Raptors should give Anthony Carter #15 so those jerseys matter again.

Darko Milicic.

Could have had so many stars instead.

Darko Milicic. Who although not worthy of his draft position, has found a niche for himself and is no longer a useless NBA player.

Dude is such a scrub. Honestly, if this guy wasn't like 7'2 and athletic, he wouldn't get drafted. He just can't play the game of Basketball but I guess it wouldn't be the worst thing to give him a shot and hope he becomes something.

It's unreal the amount of high drafted centers that end up being bust. He is currently beating Kwame Brown at the bigger bust category.

I can imagine it is not easy to find 7 footers with athleticism, skill, strength, coordination and basketball IQ

There is a reason why it is probably the most shallow position, talent wise, in the league

Damn that Minnesota 1st round pick is going to be a very valuable asset.

Too bad we don't have anything the Clippers would want for it.

Darko wasn't developed properly. Given 5-7 MPG is not properly developing a player.

Kwame Brown, there is no excuse for.

Don't be so sure it will be with Adelman at the helm.
