Sit Subban

I've been watching the habs for too long... buit this must be said

Subban needs to be sit!

He's ineffective on the power play
His shot is nowhere near the net
Makes tons of mistake in the D zone
He's too fancy and opponent now know how to react or what he will do

Seams like the kids rely more on his talent than hard work

You need 2 out of 3 things to succeed in life: Talent, Hard Work & Chance
Last year PK had Talent & Chance
This year PK has Talent.... face it the entire teams has "no chance"

I think he needs to sit and put back Emelin in the line up!

Has for Campoli, he must remember that he plays defense!!!

I concur.

He needs a wakeup call. This could be it.

We need him to be better than he's been, and other than playing him less, this could be a motivating factor.

He's trying to do too much. It's like he's playing with the weight of the team on his shoulders... Someone needs to sit down with him and tell him to stop high-risk fancy plays deep in our zone...

Why not just lower his minutes a bit instead of straight up sitting him, he's had a huge workload all year and is likely getting burnt out.

Why sit him? No one else is any better. This team has no structure, or stability right now. Like I said in the GDT, I think PG is secretly in tank mode.. I hope to see Budaj in nets more often.

Agreed with this.

Subban has been fine for the most part, but when he makes a mistake, it's generally a big one. Lower down his workload and I'm sure we'll forget about his brainfarts.

If you want to tank, our defense without Subban would be a good first step.

You really want to see this?

Campoli-Gorges
Gill-Diaz
Kaberle-Emelin

*shudder*

Yes he`s not playing well at all but there 2 other guys playing worse then PK and its Campoli and Gill. Gill has really slowed down this season players are blowing by him 4 or 5 times a game. I think most teams game plan is to go to Gill side so they can go around him.

The problem is that he and Gorges are holding the team together, what's left of it anyway.

Every game the Habs play without Subban is almost guaranteed to be a loss, more so than if he's in.

To put Weber in? No thx.
I believe we just need to switch the pairings, brin Emelin in, scratch one of gill, campoli or Diaz.
Kaberle Gorges
Gill Subban
Emelin Diaz

People need to keep in mind Subban is still only 22 years old and in his second full year, struggles are expected from young players and he is taking on way too much pressure right now.

Tremendous talent but he's absolutely awful right now. How many nights has he contributed directly to a loss lately with a stupid mistake? And he doesn't seem to be learning or improving? After yesterday's bonehead pass that led to the 3-1 goal, I would have benched his ass on the bench for the rest of the game. Emelin cannot be worse right now.

PK will get through this... but it might not even be this year.

I'd rather exorcise Campoli from this team.

Winless with him in the line-up and he has directly contributed to the last 3 GWG by opposing teams.

Now this is probably the worst time to sit him.

Did anyone notice anything this year compared to last year. The guys maturatiy is great. He is a team player.

He said himself "I cost the team the win", "I've got to be better". He is taking responsibilty for his actions, he did last year too, but this year its like he is really pissed at himself, compared to last year. Says alot coming from one of our youngest guys on the team.

The problem is Subban does try a bit too much sometimes, but when watching a game, its like he is telling his guys to wake up. If you watch him he has to carry the puck all way to the offensive zone. Its almost like a "get your heads out of butts" basically.

Just the guy is key right now. Taking him out with him and Gorges as our best pair, yes even with some of the turn overs and all, we would be worse off than we actually are right now.

The worst part is everyone is like come back Markov and using injuries as an excuse. We have our full D-corp back now and Markov is the last one to return, and this is our result. We don't even know what Markov will look like for the first month or so from his return.

The season still has plenty of time and were only 3-4 games out as teams have games in hand on us. I would rather keep Subban in let the new coach get things organized and try to move forward. At this point we can't afford to sit our good players because of mistakes, cause each game we lose it hurts more overall. Its not the same like last year sit him and still have all the vets we did.

Kid's being given top minutes to face the best players from the opposition. Sure he's doing mistakes, it's only his second season. It's obviously not going to be perfect. And you want to bench him, knowing all that? I'd say it would crush his confidence more than anything. Kid's doing ok, not great, but ok for what he has to do.

At this stage, we need to have Subban take a MRI scan; maybe it will reveal an injury that would put him out for weeks.

He's sophmore slumping pretty bad right now...

This means that he's not the elite player we all thought he would become.

Its okay though, he is playing as a number 2 D-man against the best NHL lines.

In 2-3 years he will be very solid defensively, but this will take away some of his offensive development and he will probably become a shut down D-man type of guy with some fancy spin-o-rama moves...

I am already looking forward to next season lol

The way things are going this season for PK Subban, he surely is perpetuating the myth about sophomore jinxes. Incredible, how every single turn-over is being fished out of the net this season.

It is too-much-too-soon to have Subban playing more than 20 minutes a game. In the ideal situation, he should only be playing 15 minutes and that includes PP time.

As that clown Healy likes to say : Less is more.

Right now, nobody on this team needs to simplify his game more than PK, because the replays don't lie.
