Haha yup! The Senators weren't very good last season. I don't remember if they finished higher than us or not. They are better this season, and too good to take a chance screwing around.

I kept saying this was the end for the Devils. That's when the Lemaire hot streak that started 2 months earlier ended. We lost to them twice in a week, and then lost to Washington, Boston, and Pittsburgh. I knew it was the end then.

Good news for the Devils though it's not relevant to this game. Facing Florida, and Dallas next week. The Devils have not lost twice to the same team this season.

Won both to LA, both to Carolina, and split with Philly, Isles, Leafs, and Winnipeg at a game a piece.

We would jump Ottawa because the first tiebreaker is games played. The shootout tiebreaker applies if both teams have equal GP.

A win puts us in 9th, but Montreal is also in action.

Zajac is almost back and we're about where most on here thought we would be at this point.

Not bad.

If we lose to Montreal I'll be real sad. Remember last time they came last season? When they came in April. It was the night after Elias hat trick against the Flyers. Who do I wanna say this was the game Zach Parise came back for? I think it was. It was also the game that OFFICIALLY eliminated us from playoff contention though I think the losses to Boston or Pittsburgh is probably what really did it.

If Blowmez, and Gionta, and the rest of that team come in our building, and beat us I'll piss myself. I might need to buy some hard liquor for that game.

Gotta get by Ottawa first. Plus, Marty usually plays his best hockey against Montreal. That's kind of why I'd like to see Hedberg tonight, and Marty on Saturday.

I don't use that because that's strictly for waivers if anything. By the end of the year, every team will have played 82 games.

I bet we'll see Hedberg start against Dallas next week, and Marty in Montreal next Saturday. I'm pretty sure we play there the night after right? I try not to look at the schedule, and I'm just taking one game or better yet a few games at a time. Obviously I know they're coming to TB, and Florida again next week, and I'll be heading to both those games. The Panthers game is giving me bad memories.

I just went to look for Gomez to see if he finally snapped his goal scoring drought before posting this. Looks like he's on injured reserve for his groin since November 25th. I was gonna say watch him snap the drought if he plays Saturday against us. This guy always played like superman when he was on the Rangers, and came to play us. A lot of goals, shootout goals, a few in that playoff series in 08. That would be our luck to have him snap the streak on his old team where he was drafted, and played for so many years.

I'm not sure who will play which game in the Dallas/Montreal back to back games. One game is Niedermayer night, one game is in Montreal. Nostalgically Brodeur should play both but I don't think it's plausible.

Fair point.

Hedberg's is the best Devils goaltender anyway.

I'd love to see the kid continue to rack up points.

Let's hope he can pot one. He looked real good with that line, I want DeBoer to keep him there.

Me too. Even if he doesn't score, he works hard along the board and has some really strong puck possession skills. I'd like him to play with guys who know what to do with those kinds of things.

Two games against them last year were both terrible. One successfully killed any faith I had in MacLean (Clarkson`s disallowed goal - "distinct kicking motion"), the other one successfully killed any hope of making the POs with Lemaire..

Let`s kick some A.

I don`t care what the mainboard thinks. Larsson is what we need and isn`t completely developed yet. Plus, they are both different.
