Limit Fraser to zero minutes and we will be fine.

Taormina's defense at the AHL level has been suspect. He'd just magnify our problems with breakaways and defensive zone coverage, I think.

You`re not being fair to him. He looked better than Salvador when played. Not that it`s a huge compliment though.

I've been saying this for the past 3 years now, if not more. We will never go far in the playoffs if we don't upgrade our biggest weakness. Parise is a fantastic player but is redundant when you look at our depth chart since the signing of Kovy. If we could find a taker for IK instead of Parise, that would be the ultimate move but that pipedream is never going to happen, so Parise becomes the "odd man out" cause of that.

IMO, we would be a much better team with a #1 d-men and a #1 LW'er instead of two #1 LW'ers and a pile of hot garbage on defense.

If that's the case, half of our blueline should be heading to the ECHL as well.

I'd rather Taormina get regular minutes and developing in Albany than getting bottom pairing minutes in only his fourth game this year like Fraser.

Say what you will about Fraser, but he doesn't rust when he doesn't play.

I have, because I’ve watched him play. but anyway, theres more to a good defenseman than making solid outlet passes. he is more of the ‘shutdown’ variety, and he performs in that role as good as Salvador. limited minutes, good pairings, and he will blend in with our D just fine.

The best part? "Panic" (different pronounciation) means "male virgin" in Slovak/Czech.

Any idea what your blueline pairings will look like with Fraser in and Greene out?

Salvador carried the puck all the way up the ice last game in the ot n the game before that had a beautiful diving pokecheck to save a goal. Not that Fraser isn't capable of doing these things but you guys are letting your Salvador hate blind the ability to identify frasers sucktitude.

Salvador-Larsson, Tallinder-Fayne, Fraser-Volchenkov is my guess.

One more "hate" and I swear God I`ll let my friends hack this board. It`s just unbearable, sorry cj, can`t deal with it.

Once? Twice? He`s had all kind of troubles doing that all season long (and before his injury). Yes, that defensive play when Larsson got burned was GREAT, but that`s not what we were talking about and you know it.

He made a number a of good passes in the game against Colorado, which I imagine nobody noticed because of the circumstances at the time.

Yes salvy isn't perfect, and hasn't been great to say the least. But that's not to say he can't turn it around. He's had great seasons before and we are seeing some of the old Salvador lately. For someone who took a year off, it's tough. I just think a lot of the heat he gets is unwarranted. Like on that one goal larsson got absolutely coned and yes, salvy should have cleared out the front of the net. However he's the one that gets called out on these boards. If larsson didn't construct an additional pylon then salvy would not have been in that position. I do think he will be better though. He looked possessed the other night, idk If I was the only one who noticed this lol

I don't think Salvador OR Fraser are as bad as some of the comments around here would lead one to believe.

But I really would rather not see both in the lineup at the same time. For one, it mucks up the pairings and makes it more difficult for the D to communicate, which I think was part of the problem against the Avalanche. Ottawa's another young, fast team, and our D's gonna get burned if they're not real tight tonight.

That being said, I'm terrified.
