And that's why Ryan should remain on Selanne's line. It's the only way Ryan can be effective every night.

The Ducks are also playing defensively however, and so the game is just skate through neutral zone, lose puck, other team skates through neutral zone, loses puck, rinse and repeat. Next to no offensive zone control for either team. Boring.

I'll take that from Bobby though

thats my point, st louis not really traping they have 3 active fore-checkers unless we get solid control behind the net.

That WAS the 1-3-1 the Ducks just ran.

And a fairly weak boarding call compared to some we've seen not called this year. Chances of a hysterical main boards thread?

Why can't my ears stop bleeding even when Pang stops talking? Is that normal?

Hiller really needs to work on his rebound control. It has not been good all season long.

I would disagree and say BOTH teams are trapping but not continuously. The Blues are playing the RC style dump the puck in for a line change and go into a trap with it pretty much every time. The 1-3-1 comment was more to point out the Ducks are playing a far more defensive system than they have recently under BB than anything else. They've also had 4-5 men in the defensive zone before puck entry on several rushes. Just an interesting point was all.

Regardless, this game has no flow IMO.

I think Hiller's rebound control is the same as it was last year but last year the team was doing a great job of clearing out rebounds.

But Hiller still needs to work on that

Agree with this. Both teams are playing a meh game.

Glad B-Ry tied it up. Also glad he's found his touch again. *knock on wood*

He did have a few bad rebounds tonight and this season, but I hope we are not going overboard with the rebound-control thing the way we have sometimes in the past. Big rebounds are very difficult to judge if you have not played the position, and in some cases simply results of good shot selection. Not nearly every huge rebound is a bad one. Not to say rebound control has not been an issue for him this year, obviously.

He's given up a lot of bad rebounds this season. It's not arguable.
