strasburg looked good today...7 innings, 83 pitches, 5K, 1 run, no decision.

offense looked anemic as always!

It's a tough spot for a kid in his first game but I think it would be right since it gets R/L matchup and it also saves Hinske. But it's such a big spot that they should have used someone besides him, be it Hisnke or Francisco. I wish we had someone else that play catcher to use Ross there but that's irrelevant, no team really does. I can't wait for Chipper to come back just so Constanza goes back down. He really shouldn't have made the team over Durango or Sutton.
Even Parraz I thought had a better chance.

Agreed. I probably would have went with Durango but any of those 3 would have been better. He better be on his way to Gwinnett when chipper is back or I'll probably go *******

Jays pick up 3 to tie the Indians in the 9th, win it 7-4 in 16 innings!

^^^^Awesome. The Nats have looked solid so far.

Meanwhile, the Mets have beaten the Braves in back-to-back games.

that kid posts over on the nats board and has been elevated to rock star status over this.

dickey throws some serious junk, so that's always a tough game. with 160 games to go, the mets have plenty of time to **** the bed.

Mets appear to be on their way to their first loss.

Toronto's kicking the crap out of Boston.

Braves actually have a lead at the moment. Chipper is 2-for-2 with a 2-run homer in his season debut. Pastornicky just went yard for his first career homer a few minutes ago.

Chipper batting 1.000 and had a great play at 3rd to get the runner at 1st.

Great to see Tyler getting his first shot.

Even though it was in his glove, still might have had a chat with Prado on that last at bat. He runs it out, he's safe.

strasburg with another strong outing...6 innnings, 9k, 2 hits, 0 ER

he has amassed 122k in his first 100 innings (fourth best), with a 5.81-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio. i hope this kid can stay healthy.

It's the only way I get the Braves. So worth the cost.

Braves go to 4-4 and finally get a starter passed the 6th inning. Based on the schedule, I didn't think it would take eight games to get four wins. Oh well, at least they appear to be back on track.

Why? Because he has a personality?

The guy's very good at what he does, and I hope his recovery goes well, but I can't stand the schtick. And I won't miss it. Hopefully there won't be any commercials this year. Or maybe there will be because he's not playing

On a positive note, he can go play more Black Ops now.

BECAUSE HE'S BLACK OPS!

If his beard was actually that black, I'd respect him more. But it is a dye job so... yeah. Lame.
