Lydman had a torn meniscus in knee as well as an upper body injury.

I would agree with you, but Beauch seems like the kind of guy who will fight through the injury anyways, just that great of a team player.

Also notes from Stephens, Lydman needs to repair a torn meniscus in his knee, meaning he was playing with an injured knee and shoulder all year. Also said Koivu would like to be back next year.

Lydman is a warrior. I hope he's not traded over the offseason, if he's healthy he will help our blueline tremendously next season. I thought Beauchemin's play dropped off the last month of the season, the injury probably had a lot to do with it.

Most Disappointing Player

There have been some high profile players, and free agents, that went bust this season. At one point, this award was locked up for Alex Ovechkin, before his late-season surge. But Ryan Getzlaf of the Anaheim Ducks had a spectacular tumble. Granted, the point totals for Corey Perry (60) and Bobby Ryan (57) were nothing special either, but the former potted 37 goals while the latter scored 31. Getzlaf? A career low 11 goals, and a 0.70 points per game average, down from 1.13 last season. He was also a minus-11, the first time he was a minus player in the NHL.
