It's not his job to announce when a ref makes a bad call.
And even if it was, there would be way too many to keep track of.
The hit was reviewed though. I'm still surprised that Jones wasn't suspended for that though.

I think Sutton got Landeskog and Poni in the face and I think that's not fine. If I was in Shannahan's spot Sutton probably would have gotten more. Ten games for the hit on Landeskog and another ten for the hit on AP.
How many would you have given to your former favourite Oiler Raffi Torres for all of his targeted blindside head shots?
I don't agree with the hit, but 8 games is extremely long especially considering some of the other suspensions which were equal/worse to Sutton's hit, and NO I don't buy the "repeat offender" status everyone is labelling Sutton with for his previous hit on Landskog sp?

The problem I have is there have been worse hits this season on Oilers players that haven't even been reviewed. Where's the consistency?
All 16,000 Oilers fans at every home game should put $1 per game into an "anti-Shanny" fund to compensate the suspended players (like Sutton) so they keep playing hard and making hits and so they don't feel they have to play neutered on the ice.
Might sound a little crazy but it would be a show of support to our players and a solid **** You to Shanny about his unfair targeting in this suspension process.

Every hockey fan who doesn't want a mockery made of the game they love should berate Shanahan on these boards relentlessly. Main stream media take their lead from HF boards so much so that it's rather ridiculous.
Shanahan has earned every bit of his notorious reputation over his short tenure. In short, he sucks, and is a detriment to the game.
