Do you have a well-developed opinion of Windows 8 yet? I've heard a lot of mixed things, but some of it is hysteria from what appear to me to be mostly cosmetic changes.

Got a coworker who is a QA lead so has a couple of win8 vms to test and there are some annoyances. I think more using it for work rather than someones home pc. Definitely some issues with multiple monitor setups and funky hot corner stuff. The no start menu is annoying have to go back over to the metro UI. Stardock already offers a software that brings it back to win7 style.
New PC built. Installed a Zalman cooler on a socket 1155 Intel CPU. Really like the new procedure. Doesn't feel like you're going to chip the CPU die like it used to, for me.
Got around to software installation and I really like Windows 8. Slick. Will try it out with swtor later today for gaming. Maybe a shooter or rts for stress tests.
I might go ahead and add Start8, mind you, from Stardock.
If any of you are on Xbox and play NHL Ultimate Team, I have a lot of guys up for sale and some deals that can be made. If interested PM me.

Windows 8 isn't that bad, indeed changes are mostly cosmetic, but I'm one of those who are afraid that MS will try to capitalize on their Windows Store with the future OS.

I think a fractured game store market is inevitable. Origin and the new MS store are going to take serious market share from Steam, and we're going to end up with a bunch of competing platforms.
I kind of like the functionality of Origin, but it's really annoying not having everything centralized.
Liking Guild Wars 2. Thanks for the free 3 days BRS03!
I'm leveling each class to around 5 to see which I like best.

Glad you like it. This weekend has sort of been odd for it; lots of bugs in the new content, and lots of people focused on only a few areas. Still, some of the new stuff is pretty cool.
