Have not seen the play yet and I already love it. Beauty move - NHL needs more of that IMO, good for creating rivalries, good for upping the tension in the specific game, entertaining for the fans, fun for the critics, awesome for AA's teammates: what's not to love?

Didn't see that but it's irrelevant. In this instance there is no way the Rangers should be short handed after Tampa started this whole fight for no reason, and Stamkos and Downie should have gotten match penalties. Stamkos punched AA while he was being held back by the ref and engaged with another Bolt. Downie for coming off the bench.

Tampa are a bunch of whiny babies. Their reaction was uncalled for and the refs resolved that like a [insert incompetence joke here]. There, I said it. If you jump off the bench and fight someone, you get a game misconduct, not a 10 min misconduct.

I'd say the unsportsmanlike penatly was deserving and maybe the game misconduct but a double minor? when anisimov is the one that got jumped?
