The Wild are 9-3-2 on the road, 10-4-1 at home.

My take...

http://www.stateofhockeynews.com/201...s-angeles.html

Not sure why the thread got shut down, but oh well. Maybe it was like that suspension like Tim Peel? Then again maybe not. The Kings didn't seem to want it and the Wild simply outworked them and did the little things good teams do to win games. Hackett was better but still, he needs some work. Either way, a great start to his career even if this is just temporary. Its about time the NHL establishment start believing what the Wild are selling right now. I have a complete post game along with an update on the Aeros and prospect updates on Brett Bulmer, Mikael Granlund and Darcy Kuemper. Enjoy!

It is so nice to be able to watch a team that can compete at such a high level in all 3 zones!

Did I hear Yeo right when he mentioned something about Koivu standing up on the bench and saying a few words to the guys? Something like "We've got this."

Everyone on the Wild bench knew it was a bad call, and Koivu, the Wild's captain, stood up according to Yeo and screamed, "'We're getting this kill,' and you know what? I believed him."

Yikes! How can any Wild fan hate Mikko! You can't hate the Captain of the #1 team in the NHL! That'd be idiotic!!!!!!!

My only concern with the team is if we make the playoffs can we win.

I worry we are winning because we are playing with playoff level intensity and can't raise to another level if we get to the playoffs. We have been outworking teams but I'm not sure if that will work to the degree it does for us right now.

Honestly, I didn't expect them to make the playoffs this year....still unsure about it. To me, the postseason would be nothing more than a bonus.

Then you obviously never watched the 2003 playoffs, when another hard working team (probably harder working than this one) went to the Western Conference Finals.

This team is far more talented and is actually making a lot of these wins look rather easy on the defensive end, as things keep improving on the offensive end.

This is EXACTLY the type of team that can win a playoff round or two.

I had so much fun watching those playoffs. Game 7 vs Colorado and game 6 vs Vancouver were pure adrenaline rushes.

I started watching around 2005 so I've only seen highlights of 2003.

You missed a hell of a playoffs that year by the Wild.

I hate the Star Tribune. The Wild win their franchise record 6th straight on the road tonight, and the top sports story according to the Star Tribune is Ricky Rubio prancing around in his little tutu or something. **** that.

Interesting stat from Russo...

Tonight, for a change, the Wild scored first and quickly when Mikko Koivu pounced on a loose puck and scored on a wraparound 24 seconds in for the fastest road goal in Wild history.

So, records broken tonight by the Wild:

Fastest road goal in franchise history
Longest road win streak in franchise history
Longest shutout streak by a rookie making his NHL debut
Loudest declaration of an impending successful penalty kill
Fastest team in the NHL to 40 points
And I'm pretty sure we've got something brewing with multiple streaks of 5+ games in a season

We rock.
