Positives

- Habs haven't lost in regulation in the last 4 games ! With a bit of luck, we may win 3 games.

- We play fine on 5-on-5. We don't heavily rely on PP to produce.

- Diaz and Emelin are gaining more experience and playing better.

- Few more days closer to return for Spacek, Campoli, White and....Mr. Markov.

- Louis Leblanc looks good.

Your turn.

According to Jacques Martin, our veterans are helping us manage to get points in the standings despite our kids' growing pains. Right.

As of late,

The Eller line... pretty good.
The DD line... decent.
Emelin and Diaz... becoming very good NHL defensemen.
Price... very good other than in the SO.
Gorges... should be the captain.
The PK is solid.
Marc Denis... these games are bad enough to watch - imagine if Benoit Brunet was still there!!

That's about it in my opinion.

Price is a veteran you know? So is Cole, Plek, AK and Gorges. They are not helping us get points?
And yes, our kids are making a lot of mistakes.

That might not be the reason why we win or lose, but it certainly is helping us.

Winner. I started a new character last night. I beat on Hadvar during the game. Haven't reached Riverwood yet and I am at 70 one-handed skill So that is a positive thing about the game I guess?

Emelin and Diaz are doing well. This defense might actually not be so bad when/if Campoli and Markov come back.

Cole and Pacioretty are the bright lights.

Gomez out is a positive. Gionta potentially out is a positive. Cammelleri should be next, then we will have a preview of what the team will look like in 3 years.

Price is solid.

I don't like the fact that he keeps throwing them under the bus, when veterans like Cammalleri, Gionta and Gill are playing poorly. It reeks of a coach who is seeking to save his own skin by blaming the assets at his disposal. His usual generic statement about "players not supporting each other" or "sticking to the system" would have sufficed. The kids aren't making much more mistakes than anyone else, and they're the ones showing a sign of life. Also, the "kids" scored 2 out of 3 goals last game. There...that's a positive.

-Young guys are playing well for the team (Diaz, Hitmelin, Price, Patches, DD, LL, etc.)

-Looks like we may have a good pick in a deep draft.

-I aced my exam yesterday

-Going to Paris over winter break

-Packers are 12-0

I agree. More and more, JM's press conferences reek of "trying to keep his job".

You know, if we only get the PP to produce reasonably, we are going to have a pretty solid pace. All heartbreaking losses of the past month can be traced back to a deficient Power Play.

5 on 5, we are pretty decent. Way better than last year!

His point was that JM has repeatedly blamed his young players in public while never calling out the vets who have played terribly so far this year- Cammy, Plex, Gio sometimes, Gomez when he's been in the lineup, etc. That's more than 23 million dollars right there contributing a grand total of not very much, but JM doesn't want to lose the room so he only blames the kids for the team's troubles. It's cowardly, it's not honest, and it's cheap. One of the things I hate about Martin is he takes credit, but he never offers to take blame.

edit- sorry. Not very positive, but it's what I feel.

I didn't buy hockey tickets this year.

I might get laid tonight.

It's Dec 9 and still no snow.

I still have a half eaten Mars bar in my pocket.

I can shut off the hockey game any time I want.

Jeeze, I've got a lot of positives.

advice to the op: Never start a positive thread, even when the team is in first place, you'll just get a bunch of posters who make sarcastic remarks.

Positive: Win or loss. The sun will always shine the next morning. Be grateful for that, cause sometimes hockey.. isn't that important.

Alot of young players getting some extensive NHL action, which only bodes well for the future. I tend to think that the Habs are in decent position despite facing alot of adversity so far this year.

There's LOTS of room for improvement for the Habs, they're underachieving right now but I think they better hockey in them.

Last night was just pathetic. I was watching the game at school and we were up 3-0, I was excited. Then the short handed goal happened and I was like here we go again... Then I get back home and I get a nice score msg saying 3-2... So I turn on the TV to watch Eller get such a bull **** penalty, and then it's 3-3. We had almost no possesion in OT except one or two nice plays.

Positives... we didn't get blown away. That's about it. To talk about getting one point when leading 3-1 in the 3rd, that's not a positive. This team has a hard time winning, that's where all the positives fall out the window.

Emelin and Diaz are both valuable NHL defenseman. Emelin comes basically as advertised, and Diaz has become an important part of the team in both ends.

Desharnais and Eller, are performing well fairly consistently.

Kostitsyn and Cole's performance has been trending upwards for a while now. Basically our 2 biggest threats (along with Patches), which is a testament to the underwhelming performance of Cammalleri and Gionta.

The Penalty Kill is dynamite.

We're half a step closer to seeing Martin canned? Would have been a foot if not for dragging the game to OT/shootouts.

Kaberle can't be that much worse than Weber has been lately.
