If they lose tonight there are no reasons to keep Martin.

Gauthier either needs to grow a pair and make a deal, or fire Martin.

Even if they win tonight, it will be because of Price, not Martin. I'm so fed up with him scribbling on his notepad as if that will help us. We now need fire behind the bench, not a finely balanced crafted system. It's not apparent that we are playing one anyway. Although he's green, I would have loved to see Muller behind the bench. Even better would be a guy with experience and who knows how to motivate his players. It's shocking to me that our PP is so bad cuz it's not like we don't have snipers, a shot from the point, a good passer. We're just playing Pee Wee hockey and until now I thought it was the players, but now it seems to me it's the coach who probably just hammers things down in practice but doesn't help.

I do feel bad, but if there any good they find work again, like Bruce just did.

Time to share JM and Pierre with other teams, we can't keep depriving the rest of the NHL and hoarding all the coaching /gm talent .If we lose these two guy's it will be like losing like Sergei K to Nashville for free, but will some how accept the loss and make it work some other way .Will still have Darche .

Roy would certainly get the most pop if they hired him .

I'd think the city would buzz no doubt.

He hates Guy Boucher 1-3-1 ,so safe to say we play something different than what we do now .

Been said 10000 time Muller no french ,,,,forget about it,sad but truth.

If Martin gets fired, i want him replaced immediately, and not Ladouceur or Cunneyworth taking over for a couple of months or something ridiculous like Gauthier coming down to coach. Question is, what French speaking coaches are out there at the moment? Is there anyone good?

Patrick Roy as coach, love him or hate him, as a player he was a winner, as an owner, GM and coach of the Quebec team in the Q, they are competetive, exciting and are always going for the title every year, he is a winner, an attitude that does not exist with the current management.

would that be just our luck or what??

I don't think so , he likes to hide from media, won't work as a coach .

Been saying this for a while now - PG and JM are not the right guys for this team.

Well its no secret that the coach and GM mush speak french so that limits the guys they can get. Roy or Hartley come to mind or a young agreesive coach from the Q, As for GM, I would love to see Pierre Mcguire as GM and let him rebuild from the floor on up. He is creepy a little but he is passionate and he is a smart hockey guy...

Once again, being a good coach in the Q and in the NHL are very different things, especially for someone like Roy who isn't a Boucher style tactician.

I honestly think it's time for a change. JM lost his dressing room and I honestly think there is a huge lack of respect for one another in the room. Just look at Cammy? Does he look like a guy who feels like playing a solid game? No players show any emotion, and I think it starts with the guy standing behind the bench.

If we are going for a nosedive...might as well have Roy for the rest of the season. Don't think he'd be good for player development though. Would be fun to watch though, no matter what happened.

Q: IF the return of Markov/Campoli/Spacek puts us on a roll...do we still have the same opinion of JM? Then again, might be too late by then. Also, Ryan White. Just a reminder.

Completely ignorant question: Has Ray Bourque ever coached? Of course there's the bruins allegiance thing, but he is a Montrealer and it would be surreal to see him and Roy behind the Habs bench. Daydreaming is fun.

Yeah, this team's problem is more than the coach. I wouldn't fire Martin until the injured players come back/Gauthier finds another experienced and qualified coach. Might as well tank.

Definitely looking at the bench last night, everyone looked as though they wanted this to happen to get rid of JM.
