I honestly don't care that OV didn't score tonight. As long as he's putting shots on net like he was tonight I know they'll come. I hope this trend continues.
I hate how Vokoun stares down dmen after they make mistakes. If I was a dman on the team I would stare him down after he lets in his daily weak goal.
Yeah I noticed the stare. It wasn't a mistake. It was a puck that deflected. If Vokoun were bigger like Pekka Rinne (alternatively " not so small") he could have stopped it.
I wonder if he says thanks when they block all those shots for him. Personally, if he keeps it up I'd stop blocking shots, keep out of the way and let him do the stopping.
Great game!! The caps owed them some payback after the blowout. Leafs fans are pouting, their board already has several threads complaining about powerplays and a lynch Joey Crabb one as well. After a few beers this has been a good night.

Steckel post-game: "...anytime you give up four powerplay goals you’re not going to win a (expletive) game. Sorry, but it’s the truth."
That game felt so good. Slow start, but they hung tough. Ovy played well...almost with the highlight reel goal. I feel a breakout offensive game coming. Wideman needed that game. Fantastic effort. Vokoun was great except for the one fumble. Couldn't be more pleased.
Atleast two of those were in one shift, nice to see the effort in the defensive zone.
My favorite part of his multi-block shift is that he was clearly ailing after the first one, no one would have blamed him for making a bee-line for the bench... but he stayed out there and got a second one anyway.
Sorry but you play Hammer with Green, primarily. They looked great together when Green was healthy. And have Erskine and Orlov rotate, with Orlov in the lineup more ( ~ 60-75 % )

Anytime you employ David Steckel as a penalty killer, you're liable to give up four power play goals. Sorry, but it's the truth.
