Rumor was that Barrie was looking for forwards - 93's and 94's. Jambrosich and Schutt have been healthy scratches as of late, we'll see tonight if they're scratched again. If they are, chances are the two have been dealt. Both players hadn't missed a game prior to this and have been playing regular shifts on the 2nd and 3rd lines as of late.

Barrie needing forwards ? Don't think so it makes no sense. They sit a point outta first overall in east and just got Erlich so that tells you what their plans are. They may add players but my guess it's defence to help out young guys. Barrie can shoot the light's out....but cannot keep it out....of their own cage.
Erie is a team that will need forwards, soon as Cazzolla/ McKegg and Co are dealt they will be looking for young depth.
I can see Erie going for a trade, I remember hearing that they wanted to draft Jambrosich.
He only has one more year left in the league to this point, I dont think hes proven that he is worthy of being an OA candidate. If I was Erie id be targeting 94's.

His skating is phenomenal and he isn't used properly in Sudbury. I think a change of scenery could be great for the kid. Very smart defensively.
He is only a '93 anyway, so he has another year left before he becomes an OA.
Besides, I don't think Sudbury will be able to move many of these guys before the deadline. I think the kids they are giving about 50% of the games should be moved to their tier 2 squad so they can at least play.

OA's are usually impact players. Hes yet so show that hes more then a fourth line player at this stage. Im not sure he has much value in the market.

He's usually on the 2nd or 3rd line. The coach just never gives him any specialty time, but when he's on the PK he forces breakaways for himself, the kid is an unbelievable skater. When he was given PP time in his 1st year he did very well with it.
Schutt is a great skater too, very slick hands. I'd think the team would keep him around, he shows great promise to take a top 6 role in a year or two, or at least be a very good defensive fwd.

I know him well. I remember him on St. Catharines.
My point, and if hes on the second and third lines its even more proven, is that he isnt producing enough to justify having an OA spot. At this point he has a single year left. He has to prove that hes worthy of a OA year over the next 15 months. His first two and a half years havent proven that.

Let's remember that he is still a '93 and has rest of this season and next season to prove if he is a candidate for an OA spot.
The most evident concern is that in Sudbury he will not play enough to prove much unless they make the trades they need to get the roster trimmed. I understand the "what if there is injuries" thing but that is what your prospects are used for - currently getting their feet wet in tier 2.

That I agree with.
For other teams to look at him over a 95/96 would be hard, specifically in a rebuild. Sometimes, players just are not good enough, and by the time they are in their third season its hard to really take a chance on them when they havent shown much other then defensive play and strong skating.
