Chambers is saying that both Malone and Hunny (what's Malone's nickname, Maloney?) are skating during pre-game-warmups, and either of them could play in tonight's game.
I was reading this just now, and was thinking the following, "ONLY Sacco could ACTUALLY believe that playing Hunwick at forward for less than 8 min. a game is BETTER than not playing Malone".
I mean come on! Clearly Hunwick isn't going to get a lot of playing time at Defense on this team right now, and with Stastny out and the team in need of a Forward, the Great Joe Sacco's answer when given a Forward to fill-in? Why play Matt Hunwick at forward obviously!
*Note, I realize that this is pre-emptive considering the game hasn't started yet, but I just feel that it's not even an OPTION to call up Brad Malone (really, ANY forward) on a team needing forward help, and sit him in favor of Defenseman Matt Hunwick...who would be playing forward*
This game could go either way, EDM has fallen off, which should be no surprise to anyone. And the Avs well are just the Avs. I would hope for some goals and lots of scoring chances and display of skill, but most likely this game will up being 2-1 or 3-2. zzzzzzzz
Hopefully Malone can come in and inject some life into Colorado's fourth line. Or, at least insure that they actually run four lines, as opposed to the bizarre McLeod + Yip/Porter + 7th dman combo we've seen recently.
