I mean come on! Clearly Hunwick isn't going to get a lot of playing time at Defense on this team right now, and with Stastny out and the team in need of a Forward, the Great Joe Sacco's answer when given a Forward to fill-in? Why play Matt Hunwick at forward obviously!

*Note, I realize that this is pre-emptive considering the game hasn't started yet, but I just feel that it's not even an OPTION to call up Brad Malone (really, ANY forward) on a team needing forward help, and sit him in favor of Defenseman Matt Hunwick...who would be playing forward*

Pre-game warmups don't start until about half an hour before game-time. I think that's pretty normal though. Hunwick takes a lot of pre-game warmups at the home games but never plays.

Malone will play. I'd be stunned if he didn't.

This game could go either way, EDM has fallen off, which should be no surprise to anyone. And the Avs well are just the Avs. I would hope for some goals and lots of scoring chances and display of skill, but most likely this game will up being 2-1 or 3-2. zzzzzzzz

I home alone drinking on a Friday night watching an Avs game. This could either be amazing or so so miserable.

Hopefully Malone can come in and inject some life into Colorado's fourth line. Or, at least insure that they actually run four lines, as opposed to the bizarre McLeod + Yip/Porter + 7th dman combo we've seen recently.

"Too many turnovers, careless with the puck, not enough shots, not enough energy"

Sacco with the usual on the radio.

And of Malone he said:

"I only want him to bring energy and be difficult to play against"

Malone with nr. 42

This feels like a 6-2 ass kicking coming, and not from Colorado.

Should have been a slashing call on Elliott. Broke the forwards stick with it. Got real lucky.
