Happy trails, Jaro

You weren't all that good.

But you were cool.

Thanks for being one of the good guys, and congrats on a solid career.

Enjoy Carolina.

Spacek was pretty bad. I'm glad he's gone. Don't see why the sudden love.

I know he was pretty bad. I'm just thanking him for being a good guy/teammate while he was here, that's all.

Never was a fan but he was a good guy and a funny one. Good luck to you and have fun down there with a much better coach and GM

Bye Jaro. I still think you were unfairly maligned while you were here and you did good work for the Habs.

Was not a great player, but my favourite on the "Get to know the Habs" videos. Good guy, and funny too. Good luck.

I'll miss Jaro - I grew to appreciate his strange sense of humour and seemed like a great guy, and for that alone I'll miss him. I also remember him playing very well for us over long stretches when we needed it, and covering Ovechkin like crazy despite his age and declining speed. I definitely wish him the best and I hope he has a few years left in him, I think he has value as a solid bottom pairing vet for sure. I also think he stabilized our D before getting hurt and losing him hurt us, despite him not being a life saver by any means.

True. Yet, my favorite Spacek moment would be when we would be finally able to use the money to get something in the summer or re-sign our players.....After waiting all this time for this to happen.....we won't have the pleasure.

Don't worry, all we have to do is let Emelin sign with the Bruins or Leafs or something and that cap hit won't hurt us!

Who needs him when you have Kaberle!

Jaro's playoff against the Caps was amazing. For that alone, we should be grateful to him.

<Sigh>

Another player who took too much abuse for what he did. Helped his buddy hold the D together for 2 years. Was doing the same thing this year until injuries got in the way.

I'll never forget his goal against Pittsburgh in the playoffs.

Sucks for his family since they are probably settled with the holidays around the corner. It's a business I know but still sucks.

Thanks, Jaro and best of luck.

Total pro who was having a good but injury prone season. Likeable even though many people often called for his head, lol. Hopefully Kaberle is an upgrade. I thought he would've been a guy who could play here in addition to Spacek. Not sure what side Kaberle plays, but they could've formed an interesting Czech pairing.

Spacek gets to go drinks beers with Muller now and enjoy the easy life of playing Carolina in hockey. The warm weather will be good for his arthritis.

In the end, I know its just stat but in 3 years he was with us, he still maintain a differential of +20 which is not bad at all.

Gill in the last 3 season is -26

Sucks that he was never the PP shooter that we needed.
