Great to hear he's back, hopefully it didn't have any mental effects. Something like that could be pretty traumatizing and I wouldn't be surprised if he's hesitant to get in the way of shots from now on.
Great news & nice to hear that he is back, I imagine he will wear a neck protector from now on. Hope he bounces back quickly.
P.S. - Murray has said that he thinks Weircioch could be one of those players that could be better in the NHL than in the AHL. I wonder if Weircioch is in their plans to replace kuba if he is traded at the deadline or next yr if Kuba is not re-signed. Weircioch is about the same size as Kuba & plays a similar game but is not as good defensively. He does however IMO bring more offence maybe than both Boro & Gryba.
May not work out exactly like this but this is what I think will be the transition on this team from Bingo to Ottawa.
Weircioch replaces Kuba
Gryba replaces Carkner
Boroweicki replaces Phillips
UFA or draft pick (offensive defenceman) replaces Gonchar
