Adam/Kassian were a little off without Leino. They started slow and didn't really get going until a few decent shifts in the 3rd.

True.

Yet another way to look at it is that Boston had an absolutely horrendous start to the season, sitting in 15th place at one point. Trends indicate they are one of the hottest teams going and are on track to repeat as chanmps. Who's taking them in a series? Seriously?

So that three point differential (not considering the game-in-hand on the Sabres) is a bit deceiving. May as well be a 300 point differential where a best-of-7 is concerned.

So all of the highlights of Pominville's goal I can find are either the away announcers or cut out RJ's actual call.

Anyone got it anywhere? Must...hear...

The Good:

Home win!
The kids
Breakaways. Nice stretch passes.

The Bad:

The PP.
Turnovers.
Connolly-esque drop passes

The Ugly:

Gragnani almost costing us the game in the OT. Again.
More injuries. Why do the hockey gods hate us so?

It's nice to see the Sabres get a Win at Home.

However, you just have to think when will this injury plague end...

I wonder if Enroth is playing vs. the Rangers

Builttagontough ... Did you try the WGR550 audio vault or game highlights?

-the vet leadership/toughness

Hearing Leopold's pregame talk when he told Hamilton that he is playing because the pain is tolerable now. Then after the game Lindy said Leo was ok and he just gutted it out.

It also makes me nervous that he isn't that far from it (whatever it is) flaring up and being too painful to play with.

If you want to lose a game in OT, just put out MAG.

This guy us so HORRIBLE......
Kills the PP and his giveaways are just mind blowing.

Weber get well soon, please. I can't stand this jackass anymore.

But my fear is that if Weber and Myers return, they'll send mcnabb down and stick with MAG. DO not want....

I gotta say, Florida's penalty Killing is pretty damn impressive that game.

They're also a very well-coached team as well. Glad we were able to capitalize on two breakaways, because they weren't giving us any other chances.

Tyler Ennis 1st assist of the season last night - for just his 2nd point this year.
Season-high TOI, about 5 min over his average. Yes, he's missed about 2/3 of the season with injury, but he's underproducing this year, and really doesn't see any PK time, so the value has to be from the scoring.

I suppose Lindy will stick with Ennis-Roy-Stafford and Leino-Adam-Kassian until some of the injured return.

Hopefully Roy or Stafford help #63 get going a little more (maybe??? please???).

From what I've heard Lindy said Enroth would play in back to backs, so expect him tonight.

Given how well he played by just being simple, it was impressive. Hopefully this isn't a case of getting a guy back for a game or two and then re-injuring it.

Ennis is playing a lot better than he was at the beginning of the year. The way he's running into people and fighting for possession, he honestly looks almost like Gerbe atm. His line usually buzzes at least a few times per game, and he's also the only forward currently willing and able to take the blue line at speed, so I imagine his confidence is pretty high despite the lack of results.

Didn't watch the game, but watched highlights on NHL.com

Good:
Szczechura's pass in OT to Pominville. He had about 6 inches of room to get that pass tape to tape, and he did...

This Szczechura kid seems to fit quite nicely into the organizational depth.

I'm not sure why everyone's so excited about Jochen. Before he got hurt he was having a terrible game with that awful penalty that gave FLA their goal.

I know he has a few goals since he's been back, but Poms and expecially Vanek have suffered with him as their C.

#Sabres Also, sounds like Corey Tropp isn't doing well. Lindy also unhappy with Marc-Andre Gragnani's play.

Sweet, only took 30 games for Lindy to figure out Grags is bad.

We're excited for what he can bring to the table as a player; strong puck possession with his work along the wall and down low. He is also a very good defensive player and is versatile enough to play wing and center.

Right now maybe he would fit better elsewhere.

Yeah, wanted to give him credit too for his pass in OT to Pomms on the goal

I love your 4th line

I'd rather not have Ennis/Leino together again. So flip Ennis and Hecht and thsoe lines would be good.
I also think just simpling switching Leino and Hecht from our current lines might do the trick.

Either way I'm reluctant to break up Adam/Leino/Kassian. Adam and leino in particular.

Since those 3 have been put together they've been great.

Leino ----> 3gms 1g 3a 4pts
Adam ----> 3gms 1g 2 3pts
Kassian --> 3gms 2g 1a 3pts

Even before Kassian joined them Adam and Leino were clicking for a few games and looked dangerous. Adam scored 2 goals against the Caps with Chewy and leino as linemates.

With Hecht out they're going to have to switch things up a bit. Personally I'd like to see the Leino-Adam-Kassian line kept together. Leino seems to finally be getting his game going with those two, and the three of them just gel together well. Only issue is with Hecht out Ruff may need to use Adam or Leino to center another line.

I would keep that line together though. I guess keep Ennis-Roy-Stafford together, and then maybe give Szczechura a chance with Vanek and Poms. He made a great play to setup Poms for the game winner last night, and I would assume if Ruff's putting him out there in OT with one of the team's best players he has some faith in the guy. Now that I said that it wouldn't surprise me to see Szczechura in that spot.

I wouldn't mind giving chewie the green light with vanek and pommers tonight. Its hard to justify breaking up adam leino kassian, and with the last few nights Ennis Roy Stafford have been pretty good. That leaves Jnew kid can't recall his name) Ellis McCormick. Those lines don't look nearly as beat up as they could be.
