Mattias Tedenby

I'm sick of watching the treatment this kid gets in New Jersey. With the right supporting cast and with the confidence from the coach, this kid could easily be a 65-point player.

He's fast as lightning (yes, Helm-fast), great technical skills, he's great at the cycle game and around the boards despite being a midget and he worls his ass off out there. What he lacks is, od course the size, and then some defensive positioning - something that can be taught and learned.

He's basically a faster Hudler with a somewhat lesser shot, and everyone in here knows what Hudler could be if he actually had wheels.

Last night Tedenby only had a little over 5 minutes of ice time, and since NJ has a habit of screwing young Euro prospects over - I'm sure he'll be availible for the right return.

What would you be willing to give up, and realistically, not an utopian trade proposal please.

Patrik Eaves + 2:nd 2013?`

We don't need anymore 5' 9 players. Next.

I don't think he'd be particularly fitting in the top-6 but if he came cheap enough he'd be an amazing low-risk gamble with surprising upside.

Emmerton + 2nd round (maybe another pick or prospect if needed)

Bertuzzi-Datsyuk-Franzen
Filppula-Zetterberg-Hudler
Tedenby-Helm-Cleary
Holmstrom-Miller-Abdelkader

What I like about this is that I think that you could turn the 3rd line into a scoring line if you give Helm someone to play with. Helm is an amazing puck carrier whenever I see him. If anyone else on his line could make use of his ability, you'd have a scoring line. Sounds like Tedenby would be a great player to ride shotgun with Helm.

Kinda wondering what the "treatment" he's been getting? He hasn't earned a top 6 spot or prime PP time. He's been pretty bad defensively and hasn't created a ton offensively. He's still young enough to improve, but it's not like DeBoer has been unjustly depriving him of ice time.

And how does this classify as a rumor?

That Larsson guy has been doing pretty well for us so far. What other young Euro prospects have been screwed over? Bergfors? Ahonen? We've drafted a few busts over the years, but I think that's independent to the player's nationality and more in line with their talent.

New Jersey isn't going to be trading him for the packages in this thread. He's more of a guy you deal in a package to bring in a better player, in this case, probably defense.

Also, IMO, they'd be stupid to trade him. Sophomore slump.

Hudler. Conner. Probably Tatar.

The fact that Hudler is one of them just spoils the appetite.

Like the player described cannot say I have seen him enough to have my own true opinion. It would all come down to cost, but if it isn't high, I am all for this.

He's a 21 year old kid on an entry-level contract. If NJ were to trade him, it would be to upgrade their own club.

My God, even fans of other teams are turning everything into a Hudler thread. It's like a zombie apocalypse.
