Many Wings fans are friendly and considerate, at least in my experience and I see a lot of them.
Welcome Twist18 and good luck in the game tonight!
Getting a team back in Winnipeg has been amazing and a dream come true. The most humbling part of it for me personally has been getting to know the former Thrashers fans who have stuck with their team and are now Jets fans. Most of them hail from the southern US and they have become an integral part of our family. Most of us got an education on the current roster from them. Allot of the former Thrasher faithful (Scrubs) have dropped off and who could blame them. I couldn't watch the NHL for 5 years after the Jets left.
It is amazing to me really!! here is a fan base that were treated like garbage by their owners....had little success on the ice over the years...and constantly suffered the slings and arrows from the real hockey fans in the real hockey markets...Yet after this massive hazing ritual many still stand and how I have know idea......they are now side by side with a town that knows what it is like to be viewed as outcasts and looked down upon.
I wouldn't be a friend if i didn't come to their defence. Things didn't work out in Atlanta but it doesn't mean they didn't have some amazing fans that bled......we are beyond lucky have them as our own
cheers to our Southern Jets fans......we love you!!

Wings fan here, and i just wanted to let you know i was pulling for the yotes to go back to the peg. I thought the thrashers were a bunk team and i didnt want you guys to get stuck with them, but with a few off season pick ups you guys surprised the hell out of me. Hope you guys can keep it up and look forward to seeing more jets games next season. I think this is going to be a fun game to watch. Good luck!
Jets are in for a toughie tonight. Second game of a back to back against a really strong team. I obviously would love a W but I think we might be on the wrong end of this one tonight. Then a another toughie against Minny on tuesday. A win tonight would be huge though, it would say a ton about our team.
On a side note, I never realized how many Wings fans there were in Southwestern Ontario. I knew that Windsor had quite a few, but there are tons from Winsor through to London; many more than I expected!
Pretty much 50% of Windsor and locating areas are wings, lions, and tigers fans. With 25% leafs, and the other 25% split senators/habs/oilers.
Yeah, that is not good at all. Kinda expecting them to look sluggish out there now.
I expected them to come out sluggish last night too though. I hope they keep proving us wrong. We just need to bring the intensity we have at home and we should be in for a good game. Easier said than done however.
