Why in the world are Doughty and Johnson deep in the corner...?

STARS WIN!

First regulation win in Los Angeles since March of 2010. First ever victory for Richard Bachman. Stars will wake up...in New York...knowing they're the 1st placed team in the Pacific Division (somehow).

Stars win 2-1!

Bachman was tremendous. So calm, so poised, so smart in his play. Ott was a beast tonight. Those 2 are our MVPs tonight IMO.

Hope to god Bachman gets rewarded with a start vs the Rangers. Would much rather see that game in person with Bachman in the net than Raycroft.

PP needs a thorough asskicking in Monday's practice. NYR are playing really well. We're not going to get 7 cracks at a 2 goal lead, especially though Lundqvist.

Good win after the disaster in SJ. Nice win by Bachman. I think we may have our new backup once raycrofts contract is up.

I sincerely hope Doughty gets a suspension for what he pulled. I thought it was a borderline 5 minute for checking from behind. If the league is really serious about the concussions they'll suspend his ass.

Nice win for the Stars tonight, always happy to beat LA. Bachman looked good.

Please separate Eriksson and Benn, it just isn't working.

Bachman like a boss.

This was one of the most satisfying wins of the year. And not just because I hate LA. But partly because I hate LA. **** those guys. Including ****ing Doughty who is quite the cheap little ****.

This is why you follow prospects. So rewarding seeing Bachman get his first NHL win. I knew he had something when I watched him at CC and he's been one of my favorite prospects since. You could just tell he had the composure and the instincts to play at higher levels. Who gives a damn what his size is. He can play the position.

Then you've got Larsen shadowing Kopitar all night. Vincour, Wandell, and Benn getting on the scoresheet. Benn backchecking like a demon to secure the win. You can throw out all the superstars in the league... when the chips are down I want Jamie Benn on my team.

And the best part? Bachman was the highest pick of all those guys. In the 4th ****ing round. That's how it's done.

Jamie Benn is turning into a great leader too, sticking up for his teammates.

Going after Doughty because of that cheap shot on Goligoski was good to see.

Interesting stat:
Quote:
The Stars are 15-1-0 when allowing fewer than three goals - the only loss coming when the Kings' Jonathan Quick beat them 1-0 on Oct. 22 at Los Angeles. Dallas is 1-10-1 when allowing more than two, including a 5-3 home loss to the Kings on Oct. 27.

Glen Gulutzan said Richard Bachman deserves another start, most likely against the New York Rangers on Tuesday.

What's the deal? I haven't really checked the schedule for LA lately. Has Quick been playing a ton and he needs rest? I just can't think of really one reason to use him against a team he has owned.

I don't mean this as a knock on Bernier, but I already feel like Dallas has a chance instead of just hoping that they can squeak something behind quick. Less travel may be the best thing about realignment, but call me scared if you want, not seeing Quick all the damn time is right up there at the top too.
The only thing I could see was Quick giving up 4 goals against Minny cause he is automatic against the Stars (no offense). But dammit you guys didn't blow us out!

Finally I was able to watch the recap of the match. Great performance by Bachman. Lets not get too excited, it was only his first start. In my opinion Stephan's first few games were also more impressive than Turco's back then. But wins against LA are always nice to see. Keep it up, Stars!
