Eller boards Doughty

Remember what Drew Doughty did to Oshie earlier in the season? Here he is on the other end of it, courtesy of our boy Lars Eller.

Eller is cool. I love the way he plays.

God, I cannot stand Drew Doughty. I wish I could like him because he's a fun player to watch, but his attitude is so annoying. The guy is SUCH a whiny little b*tch.

Makes me laugh to see this happen to him. Hope Eller gets a minimum of no suspension and a maximum $2500 fine for this hit. **** Doughty, that dirty, cowardice little sack a excrement. When he hit Oshie and then ducked out of the pile as to avoid Backes; any remaining respect I had for Doughty disappeared.

That sort of shove happens multiple times a game. Most of the time it hardly even bothers the player on the receiving end, but every now and then it catches them off balance and the result is what you see in that clip. I'm not Eller and I don't claim to know what he saw or what his intent was, but I do agree that it is strikingly similar to the Doughty hit on Oshie earlier this year. I'm sure Eller will face disciplinary action of some sort. It will be interesting to see whether it's just a fine or an actual suspension.

He was fined the max amount, same as Doughty (2,500, I believe). No suspension though.

I don't like seeing dangerous hits, but maybe that sends a message to Doughty to think about his own damn actions on the ice. It's not so fun when the shoe is on the other foot suddenly.

Perfectly consistent with what happened before...can't complain about that.

Why is $2,500 the max amount?

Bc that is what the players and owners agreed to in the CBA, although personally I think it should be significantly more. Reaves is the lowest paid player that has been on the Blues roster every day of the season and he makes over $2,800 every day.

2500 is less than a slap on the wrist for these big boys. I wanna see fines like the NFL ranging up to 50k and see how the players will react then lol.

So North-South, fine with no suspension, East-West out for 3 games... got it.
