Why are Shattenkirk and Russell, 2 offensive defencemen with weaknesses in their own end, paired together, and Polak and Jackman, 2 stay-at homes, paired together? Why not have one of each type per shift?

With the last change, I guess Hitchcock thinks the Blues are better off stacking a physical defensive pair to run out there against Thornton (or whoever) than they would be spreading the wealth.

Coming into tonight's game the Blues were tied with 4 other teams at #26 (worst) for total number of team bench minors with 4. The worst team was Edmonton with 7.

So conflicted about whether to complain on being screwed out of more PP time.

The penalty was at 17:35 and the goal at 19:34. That's just brutal to say it had expired.

But again, maybe the refs did everyone a favor.

If I'm Hitchcock, all I want my team thinking about is that we currently have the lead and the momentum, and what they need to do to keep both.
