Take it for what it's worth. Tried looking for a source, but all the articles I found all link back to the same article.

The scuttlebutt (unsubstantiated) going around MLB is Ryan Braun took medication for herpes (not a joke) and that is why he failed PED test

I do. Something like that should never leak out to the public. It's a violation of the HIPAA laws.

Couldnt even begin to guess whatg that stands for but the dude was so adiment that thew test was a lie, perhaps they didn't have to announce it but people out there had to know why it was potentially positive. Regardlss anyone getting herpes has nothing but themselves to blame, so even if it's against the rules my sympathetic is very miniscule if even....

I don't think I've ever legitimately wanted someone to have Herpes than I do now.

god that would suck, I think that's even worse than doing steroids. At least if you can come close to the production you had with the steroids without the steroids, people wouldn't be that hard on you. Now he'll be the guy with herpes. ESPN are ********, mlb probably didn't say **** because of that?

The arbitration hearing isn't until January and you can't talk about it before the hearing so nothing.

you gotta love how the media got all bent out of shape about this but in the NFL when a star gets busted the media looks the other way. Merriman for example was an all-pro in the same year he failed a drug test, and Rodney Harrison being busted for HGH didn't lead to any calls to have the Patriots put up an asterisk in their 16-0 season.

Yup, I've always thought that was absurd. There are two reasons for this disparity IMO:

1) Baseball stats are easily quantified and thus considered more sacred than football stats.

2) Because baseball is such an old sport that gets taught from generation to generation, idiots like Bill Plashke stupidly believe that steroid users are somehow ripping apart the moral fabric of America by cheating.

Depends on what type of herpes.

You know that cold sores are a type of herpes...and there are many other types. Just the STD type is the most known.

Yup.....

Phoenix - Milwaukee Brewers leftfielder Ryan Braun became the first major-league player to have a positive drug test overturned when he was informed Thursday that an arbitration panel ruled in his favor on appeal and decided against a 50-game suspension for the reigning National League most valuable player.

AP sent a retraction to one of our TV stations saying there was a mixup. They now agree Braun won.
