Now do you honestly think he would tell some random person on the way home that he feels like ****? Don't think so..

No but he would give a 'so-so' gesture or smile back at them... A thumbs up also is no sure sign of his being fine and not concussed, I understand this... But what I can take out of that is mainly that he was driving himself home and they probably didn't have a great concern with that -- a teammate or Organization employee could have given him a lift or driven his Car home had they thought a concussion had happened and wanted o make sure he was okay with the night lights and traveling.
Certainly I suppose it all could be BS by a Tweeter... but why would someone want to do that just for the hell of it?
Giroux could have easily ignored the guys also... Listen, I'm whistling by this graveyard; you can either join me or humor me... your choice.
There was obvious, but not devastating, contact between Roo's head and Simmonds knee. Giroux looked a bit stung by it--but he definately wasn't dazed or out of it.
Don't know. These things are odd--it's not always the biggest hits, but the unexpected contact that seems to generate the problems.
I'm only partly assuaged by Holmgren's comments. I hope they take an uncharacteristically cautious approach. I'd rather Roo miss the next two or three games and give himself a week to make sure he's right than come back too soon and leave himself vulnerable long-term.
Just saw it on the highlights. I didn't look that bad to me, Simmonds got him but it didn't look like a full force collision, more of a glancing blow. Not to be taken lightly but I was more worried, having read about it online than I was after seeing it.
The only thing I can think of is that it's more of a neck issue and not a concussion. Homer did say he had a stiff neck and while he was on the bench he looked like he was in a little discomfort there. Wasn't looking dazed or anything but this is really just hopeful wishing that its a minor neck injury and he will be okay instead of a damn concussion!
I love how we now have 30 doctors, all specialists in concussions lol. He hit his head hard. You know, he could really just have a sore head l. He walked to the dressing room by himself. He drove home. He wouldn't of been allowed with a concussion. People need to chill out.
Jets fan here! (big Giroux fan also) I really hope Giroux is alright! Honestly i do believe he will be fine and won't miss a beat. The knee did hit him in the back of the head and his helmet flew off right away... which indicates that he was hit on an angle that would have more or less been "glancing".
But really, what the hell was Simmonds thinking? Trying to make his move look super cool while hurdling over the league MVP... I mean it could have been worse. What if his skate cut him open.

Could we be seeing the very first case of someone being a jackass on the internet?
But in all seriousness, hopefully just being overly cautious and Giroux is fine.
There should be an update today from the flyers about him. Holmgren said yesterday at his little presser about the injuries that he was coming in today to get reevaluated. Sam Carchidi also said there will be more info later today about him. So hopefully its good news
Rangers fan here. Have a bunch of Flyers friends...hope Giroux is okay. Been following him as a player since his days in the QMJHL. Hope he doesn't miss any time, if only to take a little of the glory away from the Sidney Hype Machine. Debate last night between Ken Daneyko and Ron Duguay after Rangers game about who they'd rather have: Claude Giroux or Sidney Crosby. You know you've made your mark in the league when that's even a discussion. Really hope he's alright.

UPDATE on Giroux: Good news #Flyers fans, he's OK. I talked to him personally, he said he shouldn't miss any games. Still needs 2 see medic.

More on Giroux: Still needs to conduct medical tests, but so far he has zero concussion symptoms, not even headaches. #Flyers
