Which stood out more? The decisive way Johnson got torched on Benn's goal or how he craftily tipped the puck onto Daley's stick for the game winner?.

He made some mistakes, but he was also one of the only ones on the ice looking to win the game and actually physically trying to do something about it. Brown is talking out of his ass. He can include himself in the guys not playing with enough fire. I saw like two surges from him the whole game, the rest of it he was being passive and a spectator.

Kings are now 26th in overall offense and 29th in 5-on-5 scoring since Murray was hired.
The only real stat that matters is wins. If LA keeps losing and it appears TM has completely lost the team, then it will force DL to get rid of him. If our very talented core that DL put together cannot produce, then DL would have to admit he made an error with his building of the team or can blame it on the coach. I don't think DL can really shake up the roster with moves because he has obtained quite a bit of talent and he won't want to admit he made a bad trade for a player. That reflects poorly on him to his boss.

I think if we make a big change, it will be the coach. I

Here is how I would spin this to the press if I was GM for a day and allowed to spin this anyway I wanted. I would use the rhetoric that the team just outgrew TM and are in need of a change to get to the next level. Something like this:

This is a positive step for the growth of the team and the players are ready to grow offensively without sacrificing their D as we already have one of the top D's n the league. Even though LA is losing, which is unfortunate, they are not getting blown out. These are mostly 1-2 goal games. t's a solid D that DL has built with a pipeline of Defensive talent. So building from the back end is a complete success. While TM has been a serviceable coach to help bring the young players along, we can clearly see that they cannot get to the next level without producing more offense. The players let you know when they are ready for a change. That is where the next phase of contending comes into play. We have the D to win the cup, no doubt. But now we need to continue to grow to a more balanced team while keeping the defensive efforts in mind. That is what will make this team contend for years. This has all been part of the rebuild efforts. While we thank Terry Murray for his time with the organization, we understand that LA deserves to win and we are bringing in (insert new coach here) to help us get to the next level.

I think DL could easily spin this and pull this off.

Of course.

It's just Johnson's rotten luck that both of his lead directly to the back of the net.

You can say that about every game involving every team....

The way the game is played today, it's about capitalizing on those mistakes and the Kings flat out don't do that.

3 coaches in 6 years, yeesh

if Richards didnt fall in our laps this team would be outright awful.

i've always thought DL was overrated but now i'm starting to think he is just outright bad.

So what do you think about Lamariello over there in Jersey? What is it, 12 coaches in 4 years or something like that?

well besides drafting well i think Lou is drastically overrated. His teams have done nothing post lockout and all his SC were attributed to one of the greatest goalies and a style of hockey that the nhl is trying to phase out.

well since he is still our coach, looks like he wont be fired until we are mathematically eliminated, so may aswell start the fail for Nail campaign

I cant wait to watch the game vs Boston, just to see how outclassed we will be for 60 minutes

Boston are at home and have a goal differential of +35

The Kings are playing their worst hockey for a long time. You honestly think the Kings stand a chance?

I'll go ahead and predict the Kings don't score in the 1st, Murray makes the same face the entire game, Doughty does at least one head fake and spin move, Brown falls down and sits quietly on the bench (that interview he gave on the bench last night was painful, just ZERO charisma), the Kings lose and Terry Murray doesn't get fired. That's the God Damned season in a nut shell, choke on it Lombardi.

nice to FINALLY see a growing number of posters who feel Lombardi has been a disaster for this franchise...

No, I didn't. And when (if) TM is fired and the results don't change then you'll finally see the truth as well.

That's easy Sjmay, everyone will simply give the new coach all the credit.

You're not very good at this game

As long as DL is in charge, I am not concerned about this team having an abundance of success.

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing but who would you replace DL with at this point?
