"The Kings are on the ice for practice, but without Ethan Moreau, who was placed on waivers this morning. Moreau also did not play in the third period last night. Otherwise, the top two lines are the same and Willie Mitchell is once again a full participant in practice. Moreau’s presumed removal from the roster tomorrow — teams will have until 9 a.m. Pacific time to put in claims — would clear up a roster spot for Mitchell. More updates to come…"
Seriously? From what I've seen, I'd rather hang on to him & waive Hunter - but what do I know?
I actually thought the exact same thing when I heard the news as well. While Moreau has been a bonehead on penalties, he performs his job well on the fourth line and has the same production as Hunter... It just seems like Dean is trying to create space for Voynov/Loktionov. Voynov especially cannot be sent down. We need him and he deserves to be here. At least, that is what I am hoping, it could also be for Loktionov as Dean feels that he adds more offense to the lineup, though it all depends on how Richards' doctor visit went (which coincidentally went down last night), so hopefully this isn't a sign that Richards is out for an extended period of time and Loktionov has to routinely fill in as the second line center. I think he can handle it, but obviously would rather prefer Richards...

28 games, 1 goal, 1 assist and 0 fights. I expect more anger from this guy, he only stepped up in the Florida game against Bergenheim. I expected a fight or something at least.
Hate to say I told you so but..........................
At least they didnt hang onto him for too long after realizing their mistake.
This is roster moves more than anything, we have rookies that need to stay and no spots available. Moreau was a serviceable fourth liner, I wouldn't call his signing a mistake.
I on the other hand would rather keep Hunter, although preferably neither of them. He started off well and finished up horribly, this had to be done.
As bitten as Hunter has been...he has more a nose for the net then Moreau. Glad to see it happen. Hopefully he can go down to the AHL and his grit and leadership can rub off on guys like Kaunisto, Cliche and Nolan.
Hunter 16 games, 1 goal 3 assists. 31 years old. A little younger and a few more assists than Moreau but seemed to be fitting in TM's system pretty well.

Ya know...take away the numbers game for a minute (I know it's hard to do that with such an unproductve team)
But Hunter hasn't been ALL that bad for a 3rd line wing. He's a big guy he crashes the net...
yea I mean ideally i would want him to have 4-5 goals right now. But he doesn't. At least he isn't taking stupid **** penalties all the time ala Stoll/Moreau.
