I was thinking of making a map with all the statistics on all the teams over the entire history of the Wild, (geography major at work). However, my engagement has left me with little time to do anything but work and call places about wedding stuff.
Psh, make her do all of that.
Try getting a wedding all set up in less than 3 months because you're importing a Canadian.
I'm listeing to NHL Live on NHL Network and they just had the Hawks GM on, he says tomorrow night is a great night to kickstart the old Min-Chi rivalry from the North Stars days.
Is Kiovu injured? This is from Russo's blog at startribune.com:
Quote:
It was Koivu who hit Marco Scandella with the breakout pass that led to Scandella's scoring chance. Koivu looks fine as he's slapping his stick on the ice in the slot looking for a pass from Scandella as he circled the back of the net. After Dany Heatley's rebound, Marian Hossa takes off on a 2-on-1 with Nick Leddy.
As Koivu's chasing it down, he clearly pulls up with some kind of leg injury around center ice right after being slightly grazed by Patrick Sharp. Koivu looked like he was feeling something right before though. Koivu skates to the corner, collides again with Hossa and you can see he's in real discomfort as he drags himself to the bench.
Hopefully nothing too serious. We can't afford to have another top 6 six player injured.
So, this is an interesting little tidbit. I just looked, and of all the playoff teams in the league right now, we are the team that has played the most games at 32. Only Ottawa and Carolina have also played 32, and no one in the league has played more.
Yeo just wants to see the Gillies he grew to know last year in Houston, and it's the type of Gillies that wasn't shown the last few weeks. I think Gillies is just having a very natural adjustment from being a go-to guy in Houston to being a fourth-line guy here. But last night was the first time in a long time where I saw a guy flying, being physical, being responsible defensively. He was a mess in LA, a mess in Phoenix, where he just wasn't making smart decisions. Last night, he was very good. Now, let's hope he's healthy because he took a nasty gash to his leg from a skate blade and was having trouble walking after the game.
