How did you hear that? He didn't play in Greenville.

Anyway, as for the topic i'm not sure why Toronto was looking at this guy when they had Ben Scrivens. Thank god Scrives got his shot, I bet he could be better than Reimer(who was once an East Coast guy himself)

Hope he does well there.
Probably sixth best in Europe (behind KHL, Germany, Swiss, Finland and Sweden). It is actually international league with best teams from Slovenia, Croatia and Hungary together with 7 best teams from Austria. Most teams have many foreigners who are ex-NHL players or players that weren't good enough to play in NHL. RB Salzburg is also one of the richest hockey club in Europe.

You forgot the Czech Republic. And probably Slovakia (top teams at least).

I would put it ahead of Germany. Don't know if it is really better than Czech Republic or Slovakia though which are not listed.

Only for 3 games next weekend. It's the final of the European Trophy, which started in the offseason with teams from Sweden, Finland, Germany, Czech Rep., Slovakia and Austria.

defo not as good as Czech and Slovak leagues and also a good bit behind the German league.

Think this signing is basically just for the European Trophy weekend that is being played in Austria this weekend, with teams from Austria, Sweden, Finland & Czech.

The tournament only lasts three days. It starts on December 16th and ends on December 18th.

He'll be unsigned again next Monday. This is just an opportunity for him to play a few games while he waits for an NHL contract.

The ECHL is actually a decent factory for goalies. They don't have the same stigma as skaters that play in the ECHL do (there are only 4 spots for Goalies in the NHL and AHL, and over 40 for skaters. Plus skaters play every game, whereas goalies don't...so usually if you are #4 on the depth chart, you'll start in the ECHL rather than ride the pine in the A)

Turco would have been an abomination. He would've been hung after game #1.

Remember this guy went to Austria....long way from the NHL.

It was kind of brought up on the Lightning board about maybe looking into Turco. Wonder if he'll get any takers if he plays well during this little tournament or whatever this is. Couple teams out there maybe wouldn't mind him on a 1 year for the rest of this season for cheap.

I don't think that NHL contract is going to come to be frank.

Unconfirmed rumor is that Turcos new contract has a lifetime supply of Wienerschnitzel clause.

Laugh, again.
