Gaetano Orlando !
Rexi Ruotsalainen

But that was some years ago.

And to tell you the thruth, i do not like that much the foreigners they had in the last years.
Bordeleau wasn't bad the first years and Gamache, has talent and can be a real paine in the ass of the adverse team ! If only he had a bit more constancy.

The best foreigner Bern has for some years is : ... Larry Hurras.

He (and some swiss players) is the real deal in these last years.

Definitely Ruotsalainen for me. Mention for Orlando and Olausson.

I just realised Bern didn't have that many spectacular imports.

They don't seem to be too gifted in choosing THE good foreigners !

This year was among the worst !

On the other side they generally have among the best goalies in Switzerland for years (tosio, buhrer) ... we will see with Gigon.

The swiss players they have are awesome. I am a big fan of Rutheman and ... Hurras.

I always liked Hurras ... he use to comment hockey WC on Eurosport and was by far the best comentator i ever saw. Once when he was in lugano i sent him an email ... to which he replied. I profetised on him a career in the NHL and also in Bern. At the time he sticked to the "forza Lugano". Today it is a different thing. Whatever great guy and a hell of a coach.

Bern can afford the best Swiss players, so it's not surprising that they would use the import spots to get complementary players.

I fully agree ... that + they have a very very good young talent base + a good swiss scouting dept .... explaines their superior level in the LNA.

Yet they could still get some decent foreigners

it wouldn't harm them
