Yeah, not a good year at all for the Baldwins. There are a few articles you can check out on Courant.com from Paul Doyle and Jeff Jacobs if you're interested in knowing more about their mess of a situation. They apparently still owe the state $200,000 from hosting that outdoor game last year. They've even admitted that they don't have the funds to properly advertise. They've improved NOTHING since they took over. I'm sick of the Brass Bonanza!
To anyone thinking about going to a first round playoff game. The team announced today that upper level seats will be $5 each. It mentioned that you can get two for $10. I am not sure if there is a limit. But you have to buy them at the box office. You can easily grab these and move down lower. They don't care.
When I saw he missed a couple games, I simply assumed he'd been suspended for the boarding call where he got a game misconduct. Bummed to hear otherwise.
Not sure much has been said. He was wearing a boot last weekend. Would be nice to have him in the lineup, he has shown an ability to create offensive chances.
Steve Moses scored his first two career pro goals tonight and Christian Thomas notched his first (and added an assist) but the Whale fell in a shootout. Good performance battling back but the team just doesn't look that sharp right now.

Yeah Immonen was a kid who I though never really got a fair shot here, maybe it was Renney's fault but who knows.
I'm a little disturbed by the lack of NHL readiness of some of our prospects besides Erixon.
Huh? What about McDonagh, Hagelin, etc in the last few years? All the other prospects are just too young. I assume that's what you mean rather than saying they haven't been developed well. Hartford is mostly full of guys who won't make it.

He would definitely be a better option than some of the guys they have on their team right now. Has offensive awareness, always has chances. Of course, that's coming with him playing with Wellman. Hrivik has been even better though.
Yeah, Johnson let in two pretty brutal goals Friday night. Either him or Talbot need to be sharp if the Whale want to escape round one against Bridgeport.
Sound Tigers in 3 or 4. Ken Gernander's teams never win a playoff series.
Quote:
Since New Year's Day, the Whale is 17-16-6-4 while the Sound Tigers are 29-9-0-5. So the teams seems to be heading in opposite directions.
"But it's a like a new season," Whale center Kris Newbury said. "It's a fresh start."
By the way, this is the first time the franchises have met in the playoffs. Hartford's franchise has faced a Connecticut rival once before -- in 1997, the Wolf Pack swept the dearly departed Beast of New Haven in the first round of the 1997-98 playoffs.
And the Whale is looking to advance past the first round for the first time since 2006, when the Wolf Pack beat Manchester before losing to Portland in the second round. They are 8-12 in the playoffs since 2006.
