[QUOTE=Wal;41827365]Zucc is reported to be back on the ice
Translated from VG (norwegian newspaper):
"In EXERCISE: Mats Zuccarello Aasen is back on the ice after the injury. Now he looks forward to coming back to Connecticut Whale.
Published 03.01.12 - 8:47, edited 03.01.12 - 08:54 (AP)
By Stein-Erik Stormoen .
Mats Zuccarello Aasen (24) is back in training after ankle injury he suffered in early December.
VG Nett follows NHL
Swede gathered well with points for Connecticut Whale, before the accident occurred in a game against Hershey Bears.
24-year-old was promised a break of four to six weeks.
It's getting better now.
I have started to train on ice again, says Zuccarello Aasen told VG.
The statement came Monday night, Norwegian time.
Just prior, he had seen the NHL team he wants to return to New York Rangers beat Philadelphia Flyers in what some on the other side of the pond is referred to as the best "Winter Classic" game ever. "

Zucca on a line with Avery would have bean epic IMO, and they both be ttraded to a non contender before deadline.

Hate to tweet it but Avery took undisciplined penalty that always worried Torts last night for @CTWhale & it cost them: nyrangersblog.com/2012-articles/…

I'll deal with his lack of discipline if he plays well!

Erixon is continuing to score at a point per game. Anyone saw him recently?

Connecticut extended Voros' PTO contract. Good for him. Guy sucks, but is a good teammate.

Is it a typo or has Ryan Bourque really not taken a penalty yet this season?

Nice to see JAM in the AHL All-Star Game in his first season.
He deserves it!

JAM's stats are VERY impressive.
Let's just take a look a ta player who people seem to want to compare him to:
PA Parenteau:
First season in the AHL:
30 points in 66 games.
JAM:
30 points in 34 games.

When I compare him to PAP i don't mean play style, I mean fringe NHLer who can dominate the AHL.
The stat line is impressive, for sure, but let's see him in camp and pre-season before we start heralding him as an upper end prospect.

See but why do you say that? Because he is dominating the AHL right now as a 20 year old?

Because he's 5'9 160 pounds and i've never seen him play with or against NHL talent.

He is 5'9 175lbs, not 160lbs.
Either way he is on the smaller side, but he is smart. He can, and will bulk up.
I am not saying he is a blue-chip prospect, but considering the Rangers have Lee Baldwin and many others under contract who are absolutely horrible, I am wondering why they haven't given him a contract as of yet.

I've seen him plenty (well most of the games this season, anyway) and you're pretty well on the mark
Not saying he shouldn't get his ELC with the blueshirts, just don't see him becoming anything special in the NHL.

Both Zuke and JAM are too small to play in the AHL.
...Congrats to the both of them! This should increase Zuke´s chances to get a trade before deadline....
