When I compare him to PAP i don't mean play style, I mean fringe NHLer who can dominate the AHL.
The stat line is impressive, for sure, but let's see him in camp and pre-season before we start heralding him as an upper end prospect.
I dunno, you can't really call PAP a "fringe NHLer" when he's right up there with Gaborik in points per game this year and he's a decent guy on the PP. He's going to be around for awhile.

He has 7 goals and 25 assists feeding John Tavares, and to a lesser extent Matt Moulson.
And that's all he does. He's a top 6 talent only on a bad team.

totally agree. wolski or zuccarello could probably get points on a top line with the isles. on a good team, those guys are fringe. they actually couldn't handle a bottom-six role.
so JAM made the All Start team , that will get him a 2 way deal for sure...........Zuke is getting himself traded so he can play in the NHL......good for them
The 2012 AHL All-Star Classic will feature the top young talent in the American Hockey League competing in an internationally televised showcase from historic Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City

Right. That really doesn't happen by accident though. None of you guys give PAP any credit at all. First it was that he never got a chance. Now he's getting that chance and he's producing. Sure, Tavares and Moulson help, but it isn't automatic.

Cheechoo won the Richard with Thornton.
Sometimes sub-par players can play way above their head.

Cheechoo wasn't sub-par. Hell, he scored 28 goals & 19 assists in one season playing with the California equivalent of Boyle & Prust on the Sharks prior to playing later with Thornton. He was never the same player after his knee injury.

Missing Avery, or am I blind
Well, it looks pretty well stacked if you ask me!
