Did not watch but be aware that Craig Button is very ill informed. Just look at his tenure as Flames GM as an example of how incompetent he can be.

Craig Button really doesnt like the Kings.
Basically called out the org for resting our hopes on a 21 year old defenseman. Just call out Lombardi too.

I told everyone Stoll would suck now that he is dating an actress...happened to Avery, Phaneuf and Comrie. He even said his girlfriend and mom told him to the ad the visor. He is an UFA anyways.

Brown won't get traded, but maybe stripped of the C. Greene? Who knows....Maybe he gets dealt and they bring in Gleason instead....

Honestly, I don't think firing TM at this point is going to make a difference. He's merely a scapegoat.

Anyone here believe that Stevens will be the difference? DL panicked IMO.

Why does Kopitar get a free pass? And eveyone is quick to point out that Brown is a 3rd liner and we all know Hunter is a 3rd/4th line guy, so why be mad at them? Penner has been a failure his entire stint as a King.

I honestly don't fault the top 6. When the bottom 6 is literally never a threat, the defense keys on the top 6and they have less room to work with.

I'd start by calling up Nolan, dumping Stoll and Penner, and sending Clifford to ManchVegas to work on his game.

Yup. I am happy that DL called them out.

When something like this happens, the coach is usually the scapegoat. Yet some fans and the media dont see this way. It's sad really. I never really liked TM as a coach but I respected him a lot. I believed what he was trying to accomplish but the hardest part about being a coach is trying to convince your players to believe in your system. Some players, especially players who took on a leadership role didnt do jack crap. They worried too much about themselves and when the time came, their coach got fired. Now you have Stevens running the system, which I am not a fan of either. Perhaps Sutter is the answer. According to fans he takes players accountable and we need someone like that.

The point is, Gagne and Richards have come here and produced....the existing group of guys is still the thing that is making us underachieve.

Greene, Stoll, Brown, Williams, Doughty, Johnson, Richardson, Lewy.....these guys better be on watch. Seriously.

Yea I said Doughty. He was ridiculous in this off season with his attitude, he was terrible last season, and he has been bad again this season. Speaking of attitude in the locker room being an issue.....

Agreed on both points. Calling players out to the media does not help matters at all, IMO. You have a problem with a player, you deal with him behind closed doors in meetings and/or internally (benching/scratching/etc). When asked why a player is a healthy scratch/benched, it's enough to say "he knows why".

Players should have the internal drive to succeed and win. If they don't ship them out, not the type of players you win with. If you need to call them out publicly to motivate them, they are not the type of players you win with. When you do call out players in the media, all you are doing is creating hard feelings between players and management. Don't like it one bit.

Because Kopitar and quick carried this team for 20+ games already. Can't ask them to do it all the time. This team isn't the Los Angeles Kopitars last I checked.

He was 4th in the league in scoring at one point...the guy isn't getting a free pass, but c'mon if we didn't have he and Quick...this team is fighting with Anaheim for Fail for Nail.

Because brown is the captain. He is the leader of the team. Why do players wear C's and A's in the game? They are there to lead players. They are there to tell players to stop dicking around. They don't necessarily have to be good players like Kopitar or talented players like DD. But in a way it seems to me that brown doesnt communicate well to his players.

I wouldn't mind calling up Nolan. He's been pretty impressive in the AHL. Heck I would be thrilled if they can give Mark Morris a shot in the NHL to coach our team.

I think DL was told by TL "DO SOMETHING BUDDY."

I imagine TL called and said "Look Dean, I gave you the go ahead to trade the future, make big signings, get us up by the cap, and this team is still bad with different personnel. You gotta change something, and it starts with the coach."

And Brown carried the team for a good stretch last season but was still lambasted. He gets no free pass from me. He's right up there with the rest of them. Quick is the only guy who gets a free pass in my book.

I'm glad Lombardi is tearing the guys new A's and naming names. This mess wasn't all on Murray alone and the players need to know it in no uncertain terms It's wake up time.
