Dominik Hasek Retires, Will His Number Be Retired Soon?

Dominik Hasek officially retired today, October 9th 2012 from playing professional hockey.

In my opinion the greatest goalie of all time.

How long until his number is retired?

Congrats Dominator

Should be retired this season if there ... is one.

I would wait until he's retired at least 3 years. At 50 years old, he won't be coming back!

It better damn well be. Put the sour grapes aside. The man deserves it. One of my two favorite goalies of all time, the other being Marty.

Probably on alumni night next season, or the home opener.

Isn't that space in the retired numbers hallway basically reserved for him?

Black has intimated that they were waiting for him to retire (I believe it was something along the lines of "waiting for someone to stop playing before we honor him.")

I suspect it will go up soon, whenever there's hockey. I still hold a grudge, but its slowly softening up.
