I still wonder that, although there's a 400k~ difference between paying Guenin or Fraser in the AHL, if Murray/management won't let that affect the roster too much considering we're saving some 300k~ from moving Foster. I know a couple hundred thousand dollars is a lot of money but at this point in the season I really hope they go with what's best for the team over what's best for the bank account.
That said if Visnovsky, Lydman, Beauchemin, Fowler, Sbisa, and Brookbank are all healthy and it's just between one of Guenin or Fraser sitting in the press box then obviously it makes sense either way to send Guenin down to both save money and help Syracuse.
Side note it's too bad the Crunch have such a terrible logo imo, I wanted to get a player shirt from their online store but I don't want to wear a shirt that has a tripping on acid gorilla on it lol

Foster's saving grace was that he was a cheaper healthy scratch than Sutton, if Sutton didn't return to form. The problem is that we have been forced to play him.
Now we have two still cheaper healthy scratches. So I guess that's a plus. And a pick.
I remember when I said at the trade that Foster was trash. Some agreed, but some said that I should give him a chance. Really can't say the result was a surprise.
Are Pelley and/or Fraser playing with the big club at all? How have they looked?
FWIW, while I didn't doubt what you guys said, you were completely right about Foster. He's declined since his first couple games into a pylon with a big shot that misses the net 90% of the time.

Pelley has been a fixture with the 4th line and has looked decent. Fraser didn't play a game up here and recently got sent to the AHL on a conditioning stint.

Nice to hear about Pelley. Hope he stays with the big club and does well. The guy always gives you everything he's got.

That's something we could actually need on that 4th line, so for now he's certainly appreciated.
With Foster, I would certainly be happy for you guys if he could start looking better again, but this way at least we didn't look overly bitter with our scouting reports after he got traded...
Don't worry. Pelley and Fraser are also useless. It was a nothing trade.
Fraser is worthless, but i wouldn't mind having Pelley back next year as extra insurance. Can never have too many centers, and him or Mace could learn to play the wing.
