Honestly, the choice to kill Jimmy was terrible imo. He was the key character in the show (for me atleast), and unless they focus more on Rothstein/Luciano/Plansky emerging storyline (drugs)the show is really gonna lack depth. I mean watching Nucky play politics is only so entertaining...Wondering if they are planning on having Slater go after Margret for Nucky, that would be an interesting dynamic.
All that said, I thought the scene killing off Jimmy was really well done. Also if you re-watch there are basically clues the whole time he knew it was coming.
I just gotta wonder how Harrow ties into this show in the future. Does he just go vigilante? If so on who? Outside Nucky, its not like he would have much bad blood.
I just read on Wiki that Jack Huston (actor who plays Richard) is the grandson of John Huston and nephew of Angelica and Danny Huston. On top of that, his ancestors on his mother's side include the first Prime Minister of Great Britain, the guy who founded the Rothschild Family international banking dynasty and the current treasurer of Baghdad. Guy's got some good genes.
The more interesting news in that link is the addition of the new actor/character.
I don't see how people are letting Jimmy's death dictate if they're gonna continue watching the show. I mean, I didn't start watching this for Jimmy/Michael Pitt, so why would I stop watching it cause of him? I can't fathom how they'll move on from this with the Commodore, Jimmy and his wife all gone. I am however, eager for the new characters and actors. Maybe Bugsy Moran will be introduced next season.
Never liked her character anyways. I am more than pleased with this.
Season 3 needs more Capone and I can't wait for Harrow to just go berserk because of the loss of his best friend.
Season 3 should start off with Harrow sniping people off one by one. Just watched that scene where he was offering to go to Philly to off the Delissio's family. Harrow and Rothstein make this show for me.
