I hope you're not saying that we're not a better team than we were last year.

Richards, Gagne, Voynov, Lokti >>>> Simmonds, Zeus, Poni

I regard this statement as you have absolutely no frickin' clue as to what happens in the locker room and the direct correlation it has on the ice when a team completely tunes out a coach.

Right now, the Kings are paying Richards more than Philly is paying Schenn/Simmonds. is that a problem for the Kings?

My point is the number 1 limiting factor in terms of success in the NHL is salary cap, 2nd is talent.

1. richards is more talented than simmonds and schenn, 2. He is right now on par with their salaries yet he is locked up for a lot longer and simmonds and schenn's deals will both escalate.

meaning in the two limiting factors to winning richards is more valuable than both simmonds and schenn. Which is high way robbery for your team.

We're far from a bad team.
Agreed. The Ducks are/were a bad team defensively and that's all on their GM for their lack of defensive depth on their roster. Carlyle took the fall for that.

Kings are just not playing well.

::edit::

Kudos to the person who put that video up.

Thanks for uploading.
Button is a former GM of the Calgary Flames. He knows what he's talking about.

That glowing record of 88W-118L-40T for his tenure in Calgary say's otherwise.

I'm a big supporter of Dean Lombardi's, but man, he did absolutely nothing in regard to our bottom six forwards. It's almost like he didn't really give rats ass, as long as he got Richards. Ponikarovsky-Handzus-Simmonds looks like the ******* Triple Crown Line in comparison to Moreau-Stoll-Hunter. Our best bottom sixer is a guy we didn't even want for ****s sake. Obviously hindsight is 20/20, but I always felt they should've kept Handzus. He just had a very calming effect on the shut down unit and could be depended on in real critical situations. Instead, we had throw out Ethan Moreau this season and watch him take a late penalties in one-goal games.

I think he was being sarcastic. But for fun, I compiled a list of Craig Button transactions as Flames GM that just demonstrates how great of a visionary this man was:

-Traded Jean-Sebastien Giguere to Anaheim for a 2nd round pick (Matt Pettinger)
-Released Martin St. Louis
-Traded Marc Savard to Atlanta for Ruslan Zainullin

This buffoon has no place to talk.

I said the other two.

And I hope you're joking.
