Interesting.. always liked Pelley. I hope in the very least he gets to play fulltime on the Ducks. Not sure what he did to fall out of favor and not get playing time over Janssen or even Sestito.

I like this move. Chere says Kurtis Foster is a PP specialist and he will play with the Devils.

Fraser and Pelley weren't going to see playing time here anyway. Lou has been trying to move them all year.

Did we win this trade? Seems like our 7th and Pmierierieri were both throw ins. I guess if Foster is an everyday player we're upgrading somewhat.

Pelley, Fraser and 7th to Anaheim for Kurtis Foster and Timmo Pielmeier

http://blogs.northjersey.com/blogs/f...mmo_pielmeier/

Didn't see a thread yet so I thought I'd put this up.

Good for Lou, he probably wanted to give them some time to play and got a Dman back too. Dunno much about the G prospect

First Thread started ever too

Foster has a TREMENDOUS slapshot. Put up 42 points in 09-10 with the Lightning. Could be a good addition, but he's struggled as of late. Due to his leg injury + his size, he has big troubles with lateral movement and skating. Keep him to the PP and relatively minimal ES minutes and he could be an asset. Not a bad move, getting a goalie prospect and a potential PP weapon for two spare parts.

Good to hear people can stop complaining about Fraser.

Pelley I kind of liked. Don't know much about what is coming back.

Interesting, not sure what to make of this. Not a huge trade here. Greene and Volchkenov are going to be out for an extended period of time I guess.

Not a big deal, but honestly as long as Fraser is gone I don't care at all.

Another slapshot from the point we wont be able to utilize then, excellent

nothing wrong with this move. only way i see him sticking in the top 6 with a healthy blueline is salvador being bumped out, if not he will be #7. lets be serious, no way he takes any of the spots of the other 5 (larsson, tallinder, volch, greene, fayne). with that being said, no risk move and good for pelley and fraser to get a shot elsewhere. this goalie that came along too seems like garbage so prolly just a throw in. wonder what this means in terms of the pp, will they try to use more dmen on the points instead of forwards? lets see what deboer does.

Awards:
A goaltending prospect and a guy who'll play in the NHL for two guys without NHL roster spots and no potential for future growth. Okay with me.

Sucks for Pelley though, I love the guy something fierce. He just wasn't going to get another chance here.
