Not me, the Panthers are a pretty speedy team, and I've seen enough people going around him like he's the assistant coach in practice just waving his stick. Let the fetus grow in the AHL.
I specified 'nice'. That implies I mean the Devils having the 6... haha

Boulton played a great game yesterday. For a heavy weight fighter there were many times in the third he had great poise and discipline and made the 'right' play - especially in the defensive zone. He also was involved in some nice odd-man rushes IIRC.

Also, with Teneby on the 4th it might be easier to double shift Kovy on his right side...Regardless, Tedenby needs to get more ice time - to showcase him for a trade...

Start another streak and tighten that **** up in our own end please.

It's been both exciting and annoying watching this team with this new system. It's such a departure from what we were in the past but sometimes I just can't take it. I still want and expect a lock down on D when we get the lead, call me old fashioned or maybe just old lol.

I'm hoping Marty can put together another solid game, hopefully the frustration over the past few weeks has worn off. Its going to be interesting to see how Foster plays, we gave up nothing for him so I don't know what to expect, he seems to be a reclamation project, hopefully Oates fixes him

Like Deboer said, its time to start moving up in the standings, lets get 2 points!

When they were on the wall, right? And he was amazingly disciplined on it too. One of examples that stuck out for me, among a few others. Definitely deserves a game here and there on the 3rd line if he can keep it up.

With Tao's shot and ability to carry the puck up ice combined with Larsson's breakout pass and ability to get lost then found for a good shot i only see 2 outcomes. Great success or a huge pile of failure.

I agree. Playing with a lead is always an adventure with this team, and that's not a good thing. The ability to lock down the game with a late lead is crucial, and the Devils simply don't have it right now.

Maybe we should start that "Here Comes New Jersey" thread again.

I'd rather have Zharkov in there. At least he is defensively sound and makes good passes to set up scoring.

I hope Theodore is shaky again tonight, he was most recently lit up by the Rangers.

C'mon you know he is awesome....you just don't want to admit and that's ok. One of these days he will score a goal with his stick rather than deflecting it off his body and he will show you.

Seems he has a case of the Zharkovs while in the offensive zone. If only there was a cure for that horrid disease, though playing with Janssen and Sesito who combined might have 15 points in the NHL probably doesn't help. It's like treating the disease with a placebo.

yeah, i really like what boulton brings to the table, but only as a fourth liner. its frustrating to see him up on line 3 and teddy still rotting on the fourth with sestito and janssen. i'd almost rather see teddy sent down to albany to play on their first line, first pp, etc. than what he is doing right now and call up my boy zharky for that spot on line four (and maybe some occassional PK duty)

Tedenby has turned into the new Nogoalov. Seems like we always have to have at least one on the roster.

boulton is starting to look a bit more like the guy i watched in atlanta. that can only be a good thing.

tedenby is starting to remind me way too much of basically every thrashers player ever. lots of flashes with very little payoff.

Thing is Pete likes his big sized goons and will give them chances.

Tedenby needs to score and keep working on his D to get icetime.

yes on the wall, by the bench. I forget who he was yapping at (downie?) but I remember thinking if I were the bolts player I would be ******** my pants

Boulton played well last night. It is odd to see him on the third line, but he has earned it, as far as I can tell.

I think that him only being on the ice for ~5 mins a game is under utilizing. I'd like to see closer to 9-12 mins range. He showed the kind of heart and discipline that the Crash Line was famous for. Playing the game the 'right way'.

Tedenby is insanely flashy, but the payoff better come soon for him.
