I dont disagree with you, but McPhee built the team, its his baby. He chose these players. Cant transplant the heart, so gotta transplant the players....and I dont know if GMGM is the right guy to do that.
He has issues understanding chemistry. Always has. He got lucky for a few years with Boudreau and Ovechkin. But now its gone, and something has to be done
don't really disagree with you on the chemistry thing, but i think maybe it's simpler. i think if he's got a fault, it's that he has a hard time comprehending players not playing 100% all the time. he was such a gamer that he sees the universe that way and assumes everyone else does too. a guy like alex semin has to keep him awake at night, just mystified that someone can have that much talent and just piss it away.
frustrated. assuming things stay the same for the next 10-15 games, what happens? firing george won't change anything; they'll have to change personnel...
it's not a boudreau thing. it's a player thing. what if the players are the problem? what if firing boudreau makes no difference what so ever?
and frankly, i don't give a damn if it's tiresome. listening to everyone predict that boudreau's demise was all the was needed for this team to win was tiresome. actually, scratch that. the only thing that's tiresome is this team being crap. and that's not anyone's fault but the players. can't understand why people don't get that.
Great stuff....there's about 5 posters who have been fawning all over Hunter who should read this over and over. IMO, it was probably time for a change of coaches. But the core of this team is the issue. Always has been. They are weak as hell in intestinal fortitude as currently assembled. They need a core skilled leader to come in and make them play like they have a chip on their shoulders.
