While the team isn't playing well and that its transition game is among the worst, just a decent powerplay would have put this team close of a playoff spot IMO.
This team hasn't replaced the like of Wiz, MAB, Schneider, Streit, Souray.
I guess Gauthier thought that Subban and Weber were going to do the job but oh boy was he wrong ? Weber misses the net too often and Subban takes way too much time to shoot.

I don't hate Kaberle but come on...that was a poor move.
Subban should be able to get it done. He had a great partnership with wisniewski last year. Unfortunately, he's suffering some growing pains this year but I still think he is the long term answer in that role.
i honestly thought weber would have been that guy, become a kind of wiznewski-lite. he's got a booming shot, but he needs to get better at running a powerplay, putting his shot on the net, not being complete crap defensively, being a bit more physical at least. the tools are there, he just needs seasoning. and he just turned 23 years old in september
i'll repeat that i think it would be a mistake to trade him now.

Subban learned how to shoot from Wiz, no doubt Wiz was a big inspiration for Subban for shooting.
Give Emelin a chance on the PP? Hasn't he earned it already?! Isn't it quite clear that our PP sucks? Why doesn't the coaching staff try something different? For once, put the kid who was a beast on the PP in the KHL. That would be a pretty nice start, no?
