So for the next season there is a possibility that we will get 4 new nice and modern arenas.

Dynamo Moscow - Legends Arena (12k) --- late 2014/ early 2015 ?
Jokerit - Hartwall Arena (13.5k)
Barys - Barys Arena (12k) --- early 2015
HK Sochi - Bolshoy Ice Dome (12k)

And most of the other teams have begun to work or have projects for new arenas.

Edited.
Totally forgot about Sochi.
Lada's arena is modern too but with very small capacity (only 6.6k) so it's excluded. Hope that hockey will fire there so new arena will be required in the next decade.

What is the status of the new arena in nizni novgorod and in novosibirsk?

Also, will capacity be expanded in Vladivostok?

Vtb arena - in October 2017
Barys Arena - somewhere in 2015

novosibirsk had some financial problems this summer and nizniy has its hands full with wc18. so i'd describe those projects as dead in the water

There is Sokol from Novocheboksarsk, it is 5 km away from Cheboksary, they play in RHL, west division. But I'm not sure who will play there.

I wish that those moscow arenas would be more than only 12.000.

Getting rid of Atlant and Vityaz may help greatly towards the realization of that.

I duobt it will make that much influence. Dynamo and especially CSKA should drawn back their own fans to the matches.

Moscow is a big construction site these days. With completition of International Business Center next year more room should be given for a sport infrastructure(mostly because of the World Cup in 2018). Moscow teams are going to get new arenas. 12k is a fine number for the start. When they show that they can fill that size and are maximizing their profit from it, there should be new arenas waiting for them.

Hilarious.

That would only alienate an established local market in the northern Podmoskovye and have no effect whatsoever on the Vityaz side, cause they've got like 0 fans outside of Chekhov.

Hey come on now guys, four teams in a market vs two teams. It only makes sense that there will be lower average attendance if there are more and more teams...

the population of that market is around what? 20 mil? how many finlands is that?
let's keep atlant (great fans, atmosphere during the games, small but nice stadium), vityaz won't be a great loss, though

The heads and whatnot want Spartak back though, due to their alleged history or whatever.

As for Finland... that's not fair to mention because per capita hockey is much more popular there.

it's fair to mention because a poor attendance in moscow and its suburbs has nothing to do with population size
