Hey guys, I was wondering if there is any truth to this twitter report? I have looked everywhere to verify this information. Rotowire is reporting the same thing, but nowhere else. Thanks!

Chad LaRose
Carolina Hurricanes Spoke too soon. LaRose heads off for now.
LaRose was injured during practice and left the ice. Check back for another update on his status.

Yeah it is. He had some kind of collision in practice and was taken off. Haven't heard much else

That's too bad, he is a heck of a player. Hope he is not out too long. Thanks for the quick reply!

Chad is a heck of a AHL player. No disagreements here.

Do you think he meant Skinner? This one is perplexing.

I heard somewhere that Skinner could be back really soon, how accurate is that?

Not very accurate. He hasn't been cleared for contact yet and still has some symptoms.

Earlier this season:

Today:

Jeff Skinner - Concussion
Chad LaRose - Undisclosed Injury

Let that be a lesson to the rest of you.

It's a typo, he meant a hack of a player.

tarheelhockey, it just struck me that those are some of the best pictures I've ever seen of those three guys! I have a young relative who would love that Skinner shot!

Guess Samson is up in the rotation. Have we seen Boychuk under Muller yet?

No. But could this have anything to do with the fact it's an "emergency recall?" I don't know if the rules are different with those.

Nevertheless, Mo is clearly misusing Boychuk.

They could bring Boychuk up via emergency recall, but that rule allows you to bypass waivers. Boychuk doesn't need to bypass waivers as he is not yet waiver eligible.

So they can bring Boychuk up anytime, but the only chance they have to bring up Samson without exposing him to waivers is via emergency recall.

I think emergency recall is the only way the Muller can get a look at Samson without exposing him to waivers on the way back down. So this makes some sense.

Could it be possible that the Canes recalled Samson because he is a right handed RW replacing a right handed RW (Larose) as opposed to a lefty playing on his off wing?

Didn't he also say that about Skinner too? Rosey hit his head hard enough to keep him out a game but not hard enough to concuss him? I think that's a little sketchy - then again I'm no doctor or team trainer.

Too much logic.
