Bruins coach Claude Julien has loved the play of David Krejci, but he’s not exactly enamored with the play of his linemates Milan Lucic and Nathan Horton. CSNNE.com’s Joe Haggerty hears it from Julien about what his two physical scorers aren’t doing to help the Bruins.
“Looch looked like he had heavy legs tonight; [Horton] was the same thing,” said Julien.
Heavy legs is one thing, but Julien saved his harshest criticism for Horton.
“Horton has got to pick up his game. No ifs or buts about it. A guy his size needs to get more physically involved. He needs to compete a lot harder. He’s skating hard – you can see it on the backcheck – but we need more from him.”
THNRyanKennedy Also on Drew Shore front, he will likely head to unrestricted free agency this summer (he's a FLA pick). Read The Hot List later for more.
Tough break for the Panthers, who look to be turning a corner. He's someone Buffalo should target. Here's where they need Pegula's money to come through for them. They should be marketing themselves as somewhere Shore could see early playing time given their need for centers. They should definitely be in on him.

If it's true though, the Panthers probably try to get some kind of return for him and he may not hit the market.
Even then though, I'd still want us to be in on him.
Pretty much every time I've seen him play, I've loved his game.
Of course, the last game I saw him play may have erased anything negative that I've seen in the past since he was incredible (Friday vs. Bemidji State, he had 2-3-5).
Also, the early returns on Kyle Turris look positive:

Perhaps the HF hivemind was wrong?
He has the talent. I think people in our position (assumed to be making less than 6 figures) don't well tolerate feisty contract negotiations over sums of money we have a hard time imagining.

I thought it was pretty obvious that his apparent demands of $4m were a bluff to get the Coyotes to trade him since they can't afford to overpay their players.
It was all but confirmed after he lowered his demands and signed a contract, as many sources reported that it finally happened because he was going to be traded shortly.
His side just wanted to make their demands known publicly in an effort to put pressure on the organization that wasn't giving him a fair shot.
It's looking like they weren't too crazy in thinking that he'd find more success elsewhere.

Too bad we weren't in on him.
Would you have traded McNabb/Kassian + 2nd for him? Given the quality of prospect that Rundblad is believed to be, it probably would've cost us something along those lines.

i would've definitely traded Pysyk + 2nd... and I think that's very close to value... and I would've added another pick/prospect of the 2nd tier variety to get it done.

I'd rather not move Kassian or McNabb, but if they were interested in Adam or Ennis, I'd probably listen.

Another wasted opportunity....
Brassard was too
I don't think Pysyk is similar in value to Rundblad; he just doesn't have the offensive upside.
Plus, they already have a similar (and arguably better) prospect in Gormley.
With seven goals since the Christmas break, Anaheim forward Bobby Ryan wishes his name would stop popping up in trade speculation. (For Bobby Ryan trade speculation, click here and here!)
“It’s frustrating because I think my play over the past 10 games has been good enough to where they should cease a little bit and there should be some protection there,” said Ryan, as per the Orange County Register.
“It’s the nature of the business I guess. We’re still a team that’s (12) points out of the playoffs. We didn’t have a good first half and set ourselves so far behind the eight-ball.”
Ryan Miller isn't the only one that is annoyed by trade rumors.
