Are you sure you've got that the right way? Or that Milbury isn't himself the 12 year old?

Whatever the circumstances were or led to it, I know one thing - getting a know-it-all, blowhard like Milbury (whose sole purpose on whichever network he was working on was to rile up the other analysts with his arrogant, pro-neanderthal thinking) off the air is a plus to hockey fans everywhere IMO. At least, Barnaby was able to offer more intelligent objective analysis but Milbury's been rehashing the same boring, egotistical crap since he was fired as a GM and forced into TV work.
People complain about Maguire and/or Olczyk but Milbury is by far the most annoying hockey analyst on the major networks IMO. Not seeing or hearing him on any of the NBC / Versus / HNIC telecasts will make for a far more enjoyable experience. I only wish it were permanent rather than temporary as the news reports suggest.
Wow, shocked by this. Glad we didn't get involved I guess.
I figured a 2nd and a mid-level prospect or something would get it done. Not at all a guy like Rundblad. If I'm Ottawa I have a hard timed oing that straight up, let alone throwing in a 2nd.
Who got fleeced?
Has anyone here actually watched Rundblad play?
Yes, he has high potential, but the style he plays may never work in the NHL.
He is one of the most freewheeling defensemen I have ever seen and a bunch of his points last season game off of garbage plays that don't happen in the NHL.
He is a brilliant stickhandler and puck rusher, but his decision making needs to be much better (not just an issue in the NHL, it's always been there).
He's really weak defensively and makes bad reads too often.
Not really physically capable either.
When he's most effective, the whole play is about him.
How often does that happen in the NHL with a defenseman?
Not too often.
Because of that, I feel that he will never become the #1 or top pairing guy that some thought he could be after last season.
A nice #3/4 is possible but he could easily only become a PP specialist.
Sounds like all the HF hype got to a bunch of people.
I love this trade from Ottawa's prospective. They moved a good prospect from an area of organizational strength and a 2nd round pick. I was hearing rumours that they were going to have to cough up a 1st and Zibenijad (or however it is spelled)....
As for the Yotes....Rundblad doesn't really address their lack of offense up front. Yes they have some killer d prospects and he adds to that...but they really needed a skilled forward prospect coming back in my opinion.
