As I was saying in the other thread, I was hoping that Abid and Surovy signed elsewhere so that Talbot and Eaves could see more ice time.

The next FAs that I'd try to target would be Nasreddine, Beech and Endicott.

Huge for the Babies. I'd also like to see Talbot and Eaves more, but...eh.

Abid and Surovy are proven commodoties in the AHL, this is a big boost.

Same with Kelleher and Koci to a lesser degree.

Abid is a pretty good replacement for TK, at least on paper.

Right now their depth on the wings is great, but center is weak.

Ouellet, Murley, Abid, Surovy is a solid top 6 on the wings. Hussey and Armstrong can fill out the 3rd line wings, and Lefebvre can maybe move to his more natural position at center (perhaps on the 3rd or 4th line).

Assuming a deal gets done with Beech and Endicott (I'm certain that at least Endicott will sign), the lines might look like this:

Surovy - Beech - Ouellet
Abid - Endicott - Murley
Hussey - Eaves - Armstrong
Lefebvre - Talbot - Paddock

Blueline is a little tougher to figure out.

Maybe Abid... but not Surovy... I don't want to see Surovy anywhere else...

WBS's offense is going to be extremely talented this season. I mean, every AHL team with an NHL affiliation will be upgraded, but adding a .5 PPG NHL player who will only get better and an often injured PF prospect who could benefit from the AHL game will make the WBS Pens a contender for the Calder once more. With guys like Talbot playing on the bottom lines, this team is in good shape.

Both Surovy and Abid are legit 1st liners at the AHL level. Point-per-game types. Those are huge additions indeed.

Their team is going to be maybe better than the one they had in the playoffs last year. Just think, Kelleher wasn't there and he's a top two blueliner. Abid wasn't there although he kind of replaces TK. We'll pretend that Talbot/Eaves and the fact that everyone coming back is only going to get better will replace the production of Koltsov and Meloche.

Guys, Talbot won't play on the 4th... Forget about that.
Put him in a defensive 3rd line. That's as low as it gets for him in my opinion.
4th line, you're just hurting him.

It's either him or Eaves on the 4th line.

I'm with the doctor. Get a Talbot/Endo checking line going ASAP. I'm hoping that its the Pens future 3rd line. I just wish that TK was still around to complete it.
