I don't frequent the Maple Leafs boards much so I don't know what the general consensus is on Kadri among Leafs fans. I do not know whether you guys like him or hate him, and what boggles my mind more is why he hasn't been called up to the big squad yet. He seems to be thriving in the AHL. I know the Leafs are on quite a tear so far this season so that might be part of it. However my trade goes like this:
To Philadelphia:
Kadri
Franson
2012 1st
To Toronto:
Brayden Schenn
If that isn't fair, I wouldn't mind taking Franson out.
Hopefully the value is not TOO far off and if so, I guess I will have to be forced to listen to Leafs and Flyers fans hound me. What do you guys think?
Kadri + 1st might be better. I'm sure Kadri + Franson would be plenty
I've just been unsure as to how Leafs fans view Kadri. I've heard some who really can't stand him and others who love him. Not sure how much value he has by Leaf fans.

The fan base is pretty split. Half think we should bail on him because he's not playing a regular NHL shift and the other half are happy with his development in the AHL.
I think Leaf fans will argue that Kadri has done more since leaving junior towards his development than Schenn. They may also point Schenn's recent run of injuries.
Others would say he isn't in the lineup for very good reasons and that he will never make it.
I think both sides are a little overboard.
In the end, I doubt you would find a ton of Leaf fans that were happy with a 1 for 1 trade between the two right now. I think Leaf fans (mostly) are confident Kadri is as good and are willing to see how it unfolds down the road

Dallas Eakins, the Marlies headcoach, recently said in an interview that he not only has NHL skill but has high end NHL skillset. He's got top 6 forward potential, much like Brayden Schenn does.
Both these players haven't really taken off at the NHL level but both have been given a chance. Both have looked equally impressive at the AHL level. I think both are prospects that have equal value, or much closer than most Flyers fans tend to believe.
If we do trade Kadri, it would be for someone a lot more established than Brayden Schenn, who I really love as a prospect. I'd do something around Kadri + a 2nd rounder for Brayden Schenn but that's about it. Now, I'm more weary because of his recent concussion.
The package of Kadri, Franson and a 2012 1st is massive, and I mean MASSIVE overpayment by the Leafs. Franson is playing like a top 4 defenseman and the 1st is a pick in a very deep draft.
Just to make it clear, the reason why Kadri hasnt come up yet is because he is a top-6 player. In our Top-6 we have Lupul, Kessel, MacArthur and Kulemin on the wings, can't give him a spot there. Bozak, Grabovski, and Connolly all playing the center position in the top-6 (Grabo playing 3rd line now). Just no room for him right now, we can't afford having an offensive rookie on a checking line.
Any injury to a top-6 winger and you'll see him get the nod, Im sure.

I'd consider :
Kadri
Franson
2012 2nd
Schenn
Simmonds
Of course you would, because it's ******* for the Flyers.

Me personally, I'm not in the slightest bit interested in picking up the other Schenn, especially not for such a ridiculous cost at that.
Lets state this again - unless the Leafs are getting ELITE, top line talent, we are not trading our best prospect, one of our best prospects and valuable picks in a deep draft.
Too much from the Leafs. I could see Kadri+Franson MAYBE, or Franson+1st, but that's it. And I doubt that with Schenn's health being uncertain.
I also think if the Flyers are going to trade Schenn it's got to be for a top defensive prospect or in a package for a young top-4 defender with top-2 upside.

We were supposedly in talks with the Jets for Jeff carter. Reportedly we were asking for Bogosian + 7th OA but the Jets said no (they were considering it though). We SHOULD have offered them Mike Richards for Bogo + the 7th OA and I think they would have done it. We could have had a full top pairing in Bogosian + Dougie Hamilton all for Mike Richards. Just imagine if that deal had gone down instead.
They are almost identical prospects. Similar high end skill, numbers, development. Kadri has slightly higher offensive potential. Schenn has a slightly better all around game. Both have put up great numbers in junior and the AHL and have had short stints in the NHL in which they put up typical rookie numbers.
There is absolutely no reason to add, especially that much, to trade similar prospects in similar stages of development. ESPECIALLY given recent injuries to Schenn. The only reason I might add something to Kadri is merely because it would be cool to have the brothers on the team, but even then, not much.
