I am not really sold on Reaves yet. I see him as a tough but not seeing it a whole lot. I think I see him as a different type of player and not seeing him in the same light as you are.
I kind of have a sweet spot for Porter... I am curious to see more of him. I see great potential in that kid.
See I'm not really sold on Porter yet. I hope he turns into a solid bottom six winger. I've seen flashes like in this first period but there are times I go entire games without noticing him.
I am also a big fan of Reaves game, and really just our 4th in general, they've been great. I was never a fan of Porter but he's played really well this year. Nichol has also been solid.
Very unusual period. Blues with about six icings, lots of pressure on the Blues in their own zone, Berglund coming alive, Stewart playing with physical intensity, and Backes hitting everything that moves.
Ok, one of those happens all the time.
Edit – cannot wait to see the Rangers locker room during this intermission next Wednesday.

Except Porter is no kid, he's almost 28 years old, so what we're seeing now is very likely what he'll ever be able to do. I don't see the potential you're talking about.

One of these is not like the others. One of these things just doesn't belong ...
So the 2d is the period where the Rangers score all their goals and the Blues allow very few? That might not be right, but I know there's something about the 2d period with goals for each team.
Sam Rosen and Joe Micheletti are great, really enjoy listening to that team. Micheletti is hands down the best color guy in the league and a total class act to boot. Sucks that for me they're getting replaced by the Perry, Newt Romney soundtrack in a few secs.
I swear I am not making this up after last night's Bryzgalov awesomeness, but the Rangers feed just ran an endangered tigers let's battle poachers fund ad during the intermission.
Totally agree with John Davidson on increasing the rink size, players are bigger and faster and it would give players more room to move and create without getting hit. Also in favor of softening players equipment.

Using the International rink size would be a great idea, but it means less revenue for owner's because of less seats in arenas, which makes it not really an option.

No, the 93 foot size that Finland uses not international. The loss in revenue wouldn't be that great.
